ps to the email.
might be an idea (which I'm sure you've thought of) when you write the readme for Extreme mode.
I know you've writen about it here, but you may need to tell players not to expect the heavy weapons in the usual places (as per v2.4)

From my point of view...if I have badass enemies-I want badass
weapons!

Yup, will do.

They come a bit later to make the player sweat a bit more, so when you get them you'll be even much happier, lol. :mozilla_wink: :D

NOTE: ONLY the EXTREME Mode weapons allocation points changed, the way the guns are obtained remain the same in all other modes. Only XTR is different.

Hmmm... You're voting for a more challenging showdown, then. Anyway, I checked the scenario with RPG+3 rockets, no use, anyway. The best bet there would be to run from shelter to shelter while deterring the things around. (for everybody: this is for the EXTREME mode only, don't worry  )

I haven't got any PM?

EXTREME players, start growing a third hand, one for your keyboard, one for your mouse, and the other to cover your ass, believe me, you're going to need it! :ymdevil:

LOL, busetibi and fiznerpin1962!

Congrats, Nightwatch, on your new baby. :) I'll look at the file you mentioned to see what might have changed, but again, it sounds like it is no longer a problem. 'Tis a smart move, IMO, to make some tweaks a function of the difficulty level -- although it looks like Grump642 needs no help making the game more difficult by turning tough friendly NPCs into enemies!

Greetz back at you, fiznerpin1962. I'm surviving, but that's not saying much. Hope it goes well for you and others, although I suspect after this release goes fully public, all there'll be is gleeful screams...

audioave10, I thought it would have more "badass enemies" to make use of the existing "badass weapons". Those APCs sound nasty.

Heh, Wombat70, coming from you, that "not getting any younger" remark was the cause of some coffee spew. But gamers are already young, by my definition.

Hey NatVac, nice to see you again :salute:

ZRP gulag_yantar is still working nicely on outdoor "getting the readings" mission, stopping Kruglov wandering away from the reading site. But, as I said, this mod throws a lot of hostiles of any kind around the lab, as everywhere, so Kruglov cannot stay docile, I can't blame him. lol.

I've solved the problem in a way, well, a movie director would handle, rather than a programmer, well, I'm not anyway, so no loss. :D

Yeah in this EXTREME mode, which will come in addition to other already existing 3 modes, everything is more challenging. It was a wrong time to take a walk in the Zone!

Hey, Natvac, they started it! Least if one of them got in the way of a bullet, I don't remember it. OK, I don't care either.
Nightwatch , I tried 5 times to keep Kruglov alive so I could kill him later. :ymdevil: But he seemed to have a suicidal wish. He kept running up the tunnel at the zombies. Oh well.

yeah, Kruglov sometimes sings "scientists can be heroes as well" at a wrong time and charges to the zombies, lol. :D

----
a few more small news: While continuing the "test run," (For ALL modes) I've changed the menu icons for the detectors, we have a several of them. Some were sharing the same icons, not anymore. The new Hawkeye Persistent UV Flash Grenade has also a new icon on the menu and will be available to buy from some traders. Though, not everything on sale, like you can't buy the new bloodsucker, lol :D

ACPs now are tougher over all modes, and on EXTREME mode they are even tougher with a more hardened shields.
And, ONLY in EXT mode, choppers will also be more resistent to ground fire.
To put it this way, (on XTR mode) APCs will take two NW310SP U2-tipped missiles (previously one was folding their book), choppers, well, depends, depends on on which part they'll be hit, but generally like two shots as well.
B-)
