Opera 10.01beta

Opera 10.01beta

I started using this browser a few days ago. So far, I am very impressed. Much faster then FF3.0 and you can even see the difference with Chrome. VERY fast. There are also many plug-ins and skins for it. Very nice so far.

So now browsers are moving on from immense (useless) feature lists to to immense speed?
:P
Maybe I'll give it a shot..I have every other frickin' browser on my system anyway.

I know what you mean. I have IE8 (by default), Firefox, Chrome, and now Opera. I have been using Firefox for so long, I just can't bring myself to uninstall it. :ymblushing:

Opera is excellent. i also use more than one browser which is pretty normal if you want to be able to view any web page. my secondary has mostly been FF, and more recently Chrome.

my secondary was IE (unavoidable sometiomes :( ) before FF came out. i have used Opera since version 3 after dropping Netscape.

Opera is the best on phones too, apparently, i haven't used it much. if you want to keep a browser on a memory stick there is a version here:

Yes, i recently found that i have opera mini on my mobile and it works like a dream. Dont know what the standard browser is but its shite. I can finally post messages on gsc, not that i frequent there often anymore. Posting on this site now too is a breeze and very fast, sometimes faster than the work laptop :-)

All I've got to say about opera is that it is not so secure. Granted, I don't know much about this new version, but I do know how my friend used to have opera and I used to make it do funny things to piss him off... from a library.
So, the old iterations of opera are easily hack-able without any equipment or programs. Just keep that in mind folks.

I had not heard anything about security issues. I shall check it out. Thanks for the heads up.

Edit: here is what I could find quickly on this. I will keep looking.http://i697.photobucket.com/albums/vv340/Grump642/EasyCapture2.jpg
