I'll trade you 7 for 6..... :-" (I better make sure it works first!) Have to do it by PMs too - it wouldn't be right to do it publicly & wreck Nightwatch's little puzzlers.

Erm...still puzzled, because even the radiation in the tunnel where you get the modified MP5 in Garbage, and in the Agroprom Underground, is not hurting my health at all. I've just checked the actor.ltx...should the radiation immunity ever be at 0.95? It seems that's the default, could it be far too high and possibly responsible for what is happening? I am at Veteran ranking if that makes any difference. The only effects from ANY radiation, even the out-of-bounds radiation on Garbage, would be vision impairment. No health reduction, though. Blowouts still hurt me. The radiation_health_v is set at 0.00004, also - should I change that? I have not made ANY changes whatsoever to any files, so I can't see why radiation is just not hurting me in the slightest. In the course of dealing with CTDs (and just playing it safe), I did reinstall all of Stalker, the 1.0004 patch, and Extreme mode, the once. I'm guessing that either is something to do with it, or I'm clutching at straws there because I installed the same patch and mode my saves were based on anyway. It is a strange error, though. I can be literally dosed with radiation, no suit or artifacts attached to my belt, glowing, and just...not get anything other than vision impairment, maybe slow down from the sudden hit of radiation...

And on a different note:
I have gotten the quest to "get the repair kit for Skinflint". The task says that Petorovich told Skinflint that Sid has one, Sidorovich is marked as the quest "source", but when I get to Sid there is no dialog to get it - and I can't buy the damn thing because it's not in his inventory! X(

Everything and all what you see in Garbage as far as radiation goes is pure vanilla.
radiation_immunity = 0.95 is a high radiation intake value, you are getting very high dozes of radiation. Do not change any values. It doesn't matter if you play veteran or master, all function as master, the choice you make is only cosmetic, as I specifically say on mod website; there is only one actual level: “Master” in the whole of this mod, extreme or not, and has always been like this.

And, No, 0.95 value does not hurt the game, it's within game parameters. In fact, vanilla gives 1.0 to master class.
C'mon, Please stop dwelling in these over-guessing practices, will not prove any helpful to you, won't take you anywhere. Will just give headache. There is something wrong with your game. You say you haven't made any changes, but interestingly you are having very strange symptoms unless willingly or not (may be a crack or what; or something even you don't know?) there are changes made in the files. (or something that hinders the proper function of the game!)
With that value you should be getting a lot of radiation like all. there' is nothing wrong with the mod, something wrong on your side. But, whatever it is you can still continue your game if you wish. Surviving against radiation is a minor part in the game, you try to survive against mutants and bullets, and controllers. etc. and see if you can. :mozilla_wink:

UPDATE: Nightwatch, you are surely a devious S.O.B.... =D> I thought a minute, went into game (coincidentally my save was right where I needed to be) - and BOOM! 7 digit code!

I am 99% certain I have the 7 digit (had to go into zoom mode to be certain I got them right) code - I am STILL =))

fiznerpin1962
Great that you've found the this 7 digit code, fiznerpin1962. :thumbright: Surprise ha? heh he :D

Oh, on the ABC-repair Kit question, yes, in Extreme mode, there are only two Repair Kits available. One is in a place from you can get as a reward only, and the other place is Yantar, where you can buy it from Sakharov with a very high price after turning off the emissions. (this is in Extreme mode only) Map point, as you rightly say, still comes as non-Extreme mode mapping. As I had mentioned this rearrangement in Extreme mode explanations, I didn't think it'd be too necessary to indicate it accordingly (maybe by fully removing the spot and leaving it to the players guess and assessment) But thank you for this tip, there may be a lot who haven't read documentations, and will be more so. Therefore, when I'll be adding some optional files (like some music, etc) in a few weeks, I'll add this as well. :thumbright:

Top hits to the choppers. :salute:
(PS: maybe I got it wrong, but it seems you've spent 250 RU and ended up getting 2500 RU and a silenced MP5. Looks like a good profit for me. But, hey, maybe my profits margins are a bit low. :D)

Ultradad wrote:I have been here for a day or 2 real time and not had one crash due to a pathing problem, great work nightwatch . Is anyone playing this on windows 7. Fancy trying it out before it goes retail

Thanks Ultradad :thumbright: Also, a very nice long-range chopper kill there. B-)

On the saves issue. I have downloaded your folder and tried it on my rig, too. That's why I'm replying a bit late although I'm online for a long time. I'm sorry to say this but it seems your saves (those 3 that were made in succession) are corrupted. It game me xr.Game.dll as well. Two of the saves looks to have been made at the same time, precisely. It's possible that the engine partial saved some elements in those close files. I don't know of course, if it was the case on this occasion, but saving the game with a minute or so differences in time can be more helpful. Engine may sometime fail to read the save folder time stamp properly if the time stamps are too close or in fact the same. Sorry about, really, for your game time. But after kicking some steam, if you think and if you find that there could be some things that you would have liked to do a bit differently anyway, it may help you take your revenge more severely this time. Well, trying to offer some moral support, anyway, if it helps a bit.

Congratulations :-bd Now it's kick-ass time. B-( :D

Wombat_70
You seem to have found most of the 6 digit codes. :thumbright: It's is just simple matter of time that I'm sure you'll find the 7 digit code in front of you, too. B-)

busetibi
Hmmm... looks like somebody did soem massacre somewhere B-) Good going :thumbright:

And, that: "Can't open section 'af_zharka' is a vanilla problem, there are indications that spawnings of bloodsuckers and their raised activity levels in some areas may cause glitches in the engine's reading patterns resulting with this error message. (in some cases controllers may trigger this message, too; hence too few usage of bloodsuckers and controllers in vanilla)

Hello there :thumbright:

Thanks for checking out the save files nightwatch :thumbright: , a lesson learned i think, not a complete loss as the auto save loads up fine so its not as if i got to start from the begining again :D . I will be back stronger and more paranoid than ever before :))

C'mon fiznerpin1962, you're too polite. Actually it was my mistake not to advertise it more properly; and thanks for bringing this up, now I've put the explanation note on the front page of the mod website. Nevertheless, I'll make dialog adjustment which would reflect the Extreme mode change better in a few weeks time together with some optional musics, etc.
We'll have forum party on your birthday. :) Though several months yet. 47 is nothing, man. Mick Jagger is about 65, he's burning the stage. Life is yet to begin. \m/

Is it just me, or...is the weather a bit repetitive? In my gameplay, every single day seems to have the same exact weather patterns (and I mean same exact ones - same sunrise patterns, early morning, early morning rain, rains just after sunset, etc). I'm assuming it shouldn't be this way, because every day is exactly the same...

Aside from that, I am having fun. Although I do wish Blowouts would spawn more creatures, a bit like OL 2.2. I'd love Controllers to spawn in the Agroprom Underground after a Blowout - really adds to the atmosphere (and scares me half to death).

did you enable monsters to spawn during blowouts in the optional menu?

Okay after being given another early birthday present (lucky me?) which was a new big monitor/tv screen I decided to try this game up with my latest save (soon as I entered garbage) not a very good idea. I did not expect what I face of total darkness just barely saving Yurik (the bandits didnt kill him for some reason after I opened fire but instead retreated). Now just before this point im sure I was hearing what sounded like a Controller and not long after as I was rushing to Bes was the sounds of horror time starting but I couldn't see anything to point to that. Then A blowout happens so the rush to Hangar begins followed by a fight between bandits for the safe part. And again im sure I heard the sound for horror time but still nothing. After a good struggle I died and gave up for the moment as I was only testing it out on my new screen. Hopefully I will have a good play tonight/tomorrow whenever I get the chance.

I don't have anything for the awards yet but I do have a load of screenshots (i keep promising them dont I?) to upload for some enjoyment (enjoyment of what?). Now that I know im gonna have a hard time in garbage I think I wait in cordon for that blowout and then go in.

Aaah...I have spawns during Horror Time and Blowouts set, but I sort of set spawns to very rare. I'm assuming spawns concerns mutants and not NPCs? I thought it concerned NPCs...
