Okay...playing "non-horror" mode. Just one question...is there a
ammo bunker in BS underground in this mode? If so, where the
hell am I going to find the code to that? he..he..You don't have
to tell me the code, I just want to know if there IS a code and if
it has to be found on a corpses PDA like on 2.4.
I've tried to ask this ONE question but never got it across...my
problem is that everyone else is playing on "extreme" so its a
little hard to get an answer - my fault.
The help and support is always appreciated!

This is funny...I go to see Guide and on the way I see Seiry at the shack across from the hanger where he is usually found. I
talk to him and the "get info about Strelok" pops up again. I hit
that and as soon as I do a Heli & an APC spawn just down the road south of there. I think "oh crap" and peek around the corner of the shack and guess what?
The Heli fires down on the APC and blows it up! Then it heads on further south and just ignores me. I must be living right. If I
remember, that usually makes the game crash since that dialog has already been spoken once.

Ok, so you're playing the "non-Horror" mode, and it's definitely not the Extreme mode. Yes, The Bunkers, the Sniper Bunker and the BS underground Ammo-Bunker still exits on v3.0 on all modes, regardless it's extreme mode or not.

But the codes are different ONLY on "Extreme Mode."
And also how you find those codes is different in Extreme mode.

But you are playing the "Non-Extreme" mode. So, then, you don't need to look around for embedded/disguised codes in the environment. For your mode, which is "Non-Horror," Bunker and Sniper Codes will work as it was in 2.4
So, you can get them from the corpses PDAs. I also offer the "Sniper Bunker Code" (which will only work in any one of the Non-Extreme modes -like yours ) on the website, too, because it's vital to get there and it may be difficult to obtain the code as the NPCs tend to walk around much.

So in short, yes the both bunkers are present in Non-Horror mode as well. And you can find them as you did on 2.4. In fact, if you remember, they'll still work.

(But if you later want to play Extreme mode, then the codes will be different, and it's a long search to find them)

And yes, you must have been lucky to witness/experience the random heli-APC attack event in Garbage, which is more of a chance to get in a non-Extreme mode, whereas in Extreme mode, you get "that Special Event" which guys have been cursing at for long. B-)

Yeah, the easiest fix for that is to prevent the game from removing that task's starting info_portion when you finish the task in the Agroprom. (What were they thinking? Perhaps they were concerned that you might explore the Agroprom before you talk to or search Seriy. But the task completion requires the task initiation anyway.)

The fix: Open gamedata\config\gameplay\info_l03agroprom.xml, find agr_krot_band_done and comment out the command to disable the start when you get the finish (next line), like so:

This mod uses the vanilla file, so you can just copy the fixed file from the ZRP if you wish, Nightwatch.

Actually - (my bad :ymblushing: )- the antirads do work a little, but medkits work a LOT better in this mod. (antirads only 20%, I believe...)

I just don't even bother with them - unless I plan on selling 'em off - I have sold a boxcar load of medkits too! You find them everywhere! ;)

Thanks...Nightwatch but I never found the ammo bunker-code
in 2.4 (didn't look very hard though). Now, I'll have to look at every corpse from Agro to BS. /:) Let the search begin.

Guys, I'm getting quite a number of emails from Russia, actually there is happening a good players base there, thanks. :salute:
I've raised another server for Russia downloads, as they requested. I'm actually preparing to move the main download from Filefront to another Server, but will still remain either in the USA or in Western Europe (as I'm considering Germany as well)

Filefront is the same old PITA. Same crappy shop, only the assistants changed, They are putting our download on deletion queue in every two-three days, they say due to the size and they need space, although it has already been downloaded faster than many in their "Hot Downloads" list.
We'll have a much proper download set-up, maintaining and in fact increasing multi download facilities.

During conversation with Russian players/modders, I was made known and introduced with the readily available Clear Sky Levels. Now we have them.
Levels are:
Hospital
Limanks
Red Forest

(I haven't checked them yet, SoC has Red Forest, too. I guess this one is a bit different.)

I'll see to include those levels in the next edition of the mod as part of further developing NEWSA project.

If this implementation goes ahead, (well, provided that life does not kick me in the wrong place, hopefully not) We will have those levels later as fully AI implemented, with of course all the trimmings that you've got used to in this mod. Well, this is some brief news mostly aimed for the future developments, but like everything else, there is a starting point, and that was today. (Actually, it was two days ago :mozilla_smile: )
But currently we're getting very good audience and praise in Russia, too.

RF in CS is mostly in the woods. The other 2 are OK, just real linear. Like all of CS.

So, the name of Freeplay may need to be changed as well to accommodate the new story.

At the gate of Pripyat...got the ammo bunker stash and found all
the goodies in Red Forest. My totals don't belong on your players
page. 2 controllers, 13 pseudogiants - rank no. 4.
I had to back off of my increased spawns and I even lowered my
resolution but it doesn't matter this game crashes alot. It seems
that this mod finds ALL of the xray engines weak spots. Great
Mod and alot of fun...I have never saved so much while playing
a game.

excellent news regarding the emails Nightwatch :salute: it's about time you received the recognition you richly deserve for the work and countless hours you've put into this mod =D>

@ Eggchen, mate your explosion particle effects are just blowing me away, I'll be posting some screens of chopper deaths later, it makes me look forward to taking the sods on just to see the effects (at the moment I've got three in RF and two in Pripyat causing me mega problems, I've already taken them all out twice but every time I come back into the levels after a road trip they are back) but yea, great work mate :-bd

I'm currently in Pripyat (night time) the night time CTD's have stopped, still getting a random artifact crash (af-something or other) but save often, aye B-)
once it gets light I'm going into RF and BS complex and I'll be writing about the encounter here once I'm finished the level and before I move into Yantar for some zombie action.
I've been a bit lax of late (stories and screens) but tbh I'm having a ball in Freeplay \:d/

So you've got the goodies in both bunker, audioave10, great! :thumbright: OK, I'll check your standings in the Players Corner, the last update I received was on weekend (Sunday, I guess). The new progresses will be updated this weekend, you'll have your place of course.
You might've hit a faulty save error that might be carrying the fault progressively. Also, have you recently checked your current Page File, it may be useful to improve the things. I guess you must've already checked the processes and services, might ease the situation another step. Also, there's a new driver from Nvidia increaing the performance of many games, but, just a second, you're not using an Nvidia Card as I remember.

Yeah a bit more pictures will surely help your Corner on the site, mate. We're waiting to read the stories, too; goes without saying. Those RF choppers also fight with each other, if you watch from a safe point, one of them should shoot down the other. (Maybe the other pilot didn't pay his gambling debts :D )
Yes those "can't open artifact_..." crash (I guess you refer to that symptom) is either engine glitch -read problem- or memory problem, as we all know STALKER uses a lot of memory, heavy on resources and not good at all in memory management. Even a full stock of RAMs would not completely help it much. Good Page File arrangement may provide some more breathing space. You are not on Vista, if you had been you could use/increase "SetIncreaseUserVA" switch, (known to help a bit more) but on XP it's trickier.

Sorry not been posting or playing stalker as I got distracted by the new game Killing Floor. Also maths exam on monday so I don't know if I be playing it this weekend much or not.

Will hopefully get screenshots up sometime soon though along with part 3 of my journal.

Also a question. How many rockets/explosive stuff do you reckon I would need for Dark Valley? I remenber in 2.4 a helicopter flying all over trying to kill me along with a few APCs doing drive bys (not exactly what they were doing but i wanted it to sound cool). I am sure extreme would change DV greatly and just want a little advice on what to take there so i don't come back in a million pieces fed to a Bloodsucker.
