Hey Guys, very good ideas, very nice to hear.
If I've got it right, it seems
fiznerpin1962, Audioave10 and
Shift3r are meeting on the same line about CS or the new coming GSC mods. Actually I haven't played the CS, watched couple of clips and had the reviews of independent reviewers in the industry which in general did not give above average marks at the best, as far as the ones that reached me. So, CS has, from the start, been a bit of a "turn off" for me, I think it has been largely so for the many.
We currently have something like Faction Wars already in the mod, you can enter other factions and things do change for the character dramatically as the consequence of it.
I have two projects lined up currently, after these two initial ones:
1) North Jump+Pripyat Entry Spawn support. This patch will also offer some new music from, well,
anybody who wants to offer their own music packs (any number of pieces, from one to many) and the first one seems is coming from
DARK TEMPLAR.
Everyone is invited to offer their selections.
This patch also changes the C-C room-to- outside of NPP Level Changing process (after the patch I sent to
Audioave10) which will address the very minor issue seen on some PCs (so far only one), nevertheless, this change makes things smoother.
There will be a suit in Pripyat which is adequate for the extreme radiation in the area and beyond if the player chooses to go ahead with the North-Jump (Cordon-Pripyat) and comes back backwards. (then some rather interesting peculiarity in the missions offered will be seen of course, when coming back from Pripyat)
2) The new
add-on to our current
Extreme mode, with a preliminary title of
Extreme++ (name is
Wombat_70's idea)
In this, I will reduce the Medkit's values significantly more, we'll have significantly less ammo. I'll move the N134SP Mini-Chain gun from Borov and will be very difficult to get it. Auto shotgun is already very difficult to come by, anyway.
There will be some other cut-backs in many areas of course, as it's fashionable now along with the economic depression in the world.
You will need FN2000NW-SPX because it'll be otherwise impossible to survive against choppers, but the ammo will be very very rare, so you'll have notmany chances to miss when you shoot. Choppers will have a tougher shield which will make it even harder. Somethings like those.
These two can be expected within a few weeks (the first one,
North-Jump) then the
EXtreme++ is after another a few weeks.
After these two projects:1) I'm planning to insert a storyline into the Freeplay. I'm following the reports on theis issue and I see that Freeplay on some, quite a few, PCs are starting to cause slowing-downs due to the eventually accumulated all those data/variables/info on the game engine. The Engine, like all engines, have some limitations to the weights it can carry along. This is under consideration for a better management.
2) We have
3 levels from Clear Sky (as explained in previous posts) those are:

Limanks
Red ForestSo, instead of we are going to the
CS, the
CS is somewhat coming to us, we can say.
However, I'm watching the news about this new game to be released: Call of Pripyat, and the news on that possible STALKER 2.
We will all use our accumulated expertise on those, as I hope and believe. There are many long exciting and always newly challenging playing days are ahead of us, as long as the top players and idea developers like yourselves do keep your interest.
