Hey fiznerpin1962

Very good ideas from busetibi (thanks :) ) He knows every step of the areas and developed solutions. :) Those areas, particularly AW as the number one and DV the number two, are the most laggy areas from vanilla. (AW had the most number of complaints.)Vast areas, coupled with intense activity causes this.
Also, turn off the "vaporize bodies" option, too. It is known to decresae performance. the games memory management issue also causes this, you may save and reload, or after the save you can reboot in order to let your RAM refreshed.
busetibi's report of disappearing lags after waiting on the screen for some 5-15 mins) is the result of RAM loads being released after certain time of non-usage, as it was recorded on various occasions before. It helps. :)
on another note: with the next patch, walking in NPP will be a bit more bearable against the high-ranking Monolith squads armed with nuclear-tipped magnums and multiple missile lanchers. Nano suit will regenerate the health to a certain extent, particularly if it's allowed to do its job for a few minutes.

We have a better head-torch (head lamp, better to say, maybe) now in the game, a cooler tone of lighting and illumination variables, angles, distance, etc, all reworked, offering a much more confortable viewing and cooler visual.

Some menu icons reworked at an extent, particularly the FN2000NW SPX has a better visual than the vanila FN2000. rework has been carried on silencer actions as well.
Approaching the release date slowly. :)

Yes - Pripryat is definitely hot! No "trader" there - even though I saved all the stalkers looking for NPP. Got lots of gear to hock! :rr:

It's an immense job to save all the Stalker in Pripyat Walk, congrats :thumbright: Try the Stalkers one by one, you'll find find one of them having all the hot stuff, NEWSA weapons and ammo and general traders stuff.

Those "sniper walk path blocks" are result of the game's (engine) failure either in placing them in proper locations at their spawning points or following their paths after their spawn. I would be happier if an engine would not throw out the game when an NPC got stuck on its path or in spawning, I'd prefer that it should skip that instance and followed through, as we have exactly seen happening in OGR. Either your team member or an NPC would occasionally get stuck in some point/place, then either you would go there and take control of the event or let the guy there, do not even bother, and the game continued in any way. Here, we cannot enter SoC engine. So, later, I will remove some of those snipers from the roofs, choosing the biggest culprits from these reports.

Meanwhile, as I recommended, you may wish to move a different direction and allow a different set of spawning squence to take place, or (also related to the first option) wait and deal with somethings else while moving a different direction and allow the NPCs, snipers including, waste each other. (This last one was a busetibi tactic. :) )

Busetibi: Dude, I got like 4 mama's beads.. they all get spit out.... what is the secret, Buddy? (not a big deal if I can't git 'er done in "my" game - I got seriously awesome artifacts @ this point. - Got enough psi protection to choke an African Elephant :tongue: )

hmm, no idea why they're being "spit out"
I always used the electro anomaliy in the underground carpark in WT because there is so many of them, throw it in anywhere and it lands in the electro field, tbh I've never had a problem with them.
with regards to your any vertex in patrol path CTD, Freedom always gave me this crash in Pripyat unless I'd been on the map for 1/2 an hour and the numbers got thinned, the problem I also had was when I came back from my ammo runs, both Duty and Freedom were "Green" so I had to kill a Duty guy to go back into a Yellow state with Duty so I could avoid Freedom (them still being Green")
be careful with the Hunters in Pripyat as well, if you try to "heal" any of them you'll crash, so hover your cursor over anyone you attempt to heal (lots of Hunters in Pripyat and it's easy to get them mixed up with Loners)
yea, if you've entered "freeplay" you should be stocked up with the right artifacts/armour/weapons by now, I just used the three weapons and a couple of nano suits that way I couldn't get the ammo mixed up and I was able to lug heaps of ammo back from my ammo runs.

Ok, aim on X18(got a computer that can run this mod), got the code from the scientist, get to the central control room door, wait till the banging is done and BANG! Crash with no logs. Even when i open the door while someone bangs it. What gives?

Hi Draakon, yes, it's "vanilla crash" at the point of entry through the door in DV X18 (through the last coded door, towards the main control room). It sometimes happens, but is not repetitive if you walk inside through the right side of the doorway. I've had that crash many times while playing vanilla. I do not recall at that very moment if ZRP has found a fix for it, but there is one simple method to reduce the risk at that point -as found by experience- is to go through the "very right side of the door," well, trying to put it more clearly: after we open the door entering the code, naturally we turn and walk inside through the leftmost side of the doorway, now don't do that, instead walk through the rightmost side of the doorway, walking as far away as possible from the "hinges" side. Strange but, it works. And seeing that you're having that symptom in your game, you'd better save after (or just before) opening the door. :)

Hi, I started playing this mod for a few days. Didn't know it before. as said in GSC forum thread, I've played a few mods by now but this mod became my medicine :D

Thank you busetibi again :thumbleft: for pointing me to right direction to get the FN2000NWSPX otherwise helis were killing me on the spot.
I escaped from Cordon not looking behind me lol :D and managed to get the rifle from "that" person. I got back to Cordon and got my revenge. It took a few tries, but done at the end.

Now I'm in Agraghom. FN SPX's ammo is rare and very expensive from the trader, so I'm keeping it for BTRs and helis, mostly using Groza-NT. very good gun. All of the three that I got upto now are just awesome.
Massive mod, very active. Many things happening unexpectedly. (unexpectedly? how about firebites? Wow!! they come from nowhere and very hard to run away or kill them. Shoot!! Never seen anything like it before :D) now back to do some killing. :badgrin:

After 3rd try, i was just standing at the door, waiting for the banging to stop, entered the code and went in. Thought i do get some random crashes with no logs and the dam game crashes laptops too.

Crashes without logs many times result from video graphics driver problems, or simply that the laptop gives up on the game and shuts the game before it makes a log.
You said, as I remember, that you a PC that can handle the game; I don't know the specs of course, but speaking in general terms, a laptop is hardly the right platform to handle it, unless you're running an Alienware or ASUS high specs one; even in those cases due to the great accumulation running times are limited.

There is a fire monster inside as you know. If you haven't done any particle or any other changes (even then, I'd expect a crash log) then this is a vanilla problem. Mod offers no change whatsoever at that and around that point in the game.
If it is not your graphics card driver, then the game might have loaded incorrectly through the auto save, then (after saving your point there, for not to lose your progress) you may try to load a previous hard save that you did before you came to the door. That may help if something s had not been initiated properly while you were approaching the door.

Well, i am playing the mod at friends house.

Laptop specs:

1.6 GHZ CPU Dual core
2 GB Ram
Geforce GO 7300 512

Laptop fully crashes at level loading or no reasons at middle of the level(thought using Anti-Crash software which has decreased my crashes)
which makes me to restart it.

Also, game on laptop either crashes for something related to patrols, wanting to see contacts on PDA or unknown reasons(no log)

Desktop specs
3.0 GHZ CPU dual core
1,5 GB Ram
Ati card(dont know exact name) 256 MB.

Desktop computer has all above crashes except those crashes that require restart don't happen.

The Anti-Crash software is Dachshund Anti-Crash which helps mostly for laptops that are being used for gaming. Without it, the game on the laptop currently for example would crash every time if i go to Wolfs men at the first mission. With it it won't, but it doesn't keep it from crashing as it still does. Thought i can keep playing longer with it.

I look at the previous page and see what happens.

Yes I noticed that prices are getting lower :thumbleft: I've finished Dark Valley, what a mayhem. I haven't seen a more difficult Dark Valley in the mods I played and in vanilla. Bandits are all carrying heavy weapons, all those mutants, and firebites?? WTH was that with Borov? he was raining bullets on me with "that" thing. As if not enough you need to take down a heli and then a tank comes lol. It took me down 3-4 times until I saw it sheltering in the swamp. :)

I was told to go to Cordon but I rushed to Bar to sell the loot :toothy8:
so rich now. next I'm on my way to Cordon.
