I also was bored. The Nano might be needed for the endgame, but otherwise is way overkill. Plus you start to depend on it, and this leads to bad habits. IMHO

lol, yea fiznerpin1962 I remember buying that suit as well and ending up with the same result, I've got no idea why you're not seeing the spawns of Controllers in Pripyat :-? , Ultradad is getting them (in spades) it's got me stumped

Hey Guys,

Got hold of the laptop and here I'm again.
First a few quick answers to very interesting reads.

Army warehouses HQ armory is subject to be "looted", just like the rest if the stashes in game. Only the ones, that remain on upper levels only accessible with ladders are safe... at the moment.
Freedom guys do have an access to the armory and they loot it at different levels, as you can see and find it depending at what time frame of the game you've entered the Armory.

You can verify that by saving your game then killing as much Freedomers around 9if you can't wait for them to die in fightings, horror time or blowouts) then check the bodies. You'll find the buldogg grenade launcher and all other stuff on some Freedomers. :mozilla_smile:

on BLUE RADIOACTIVE EXO:
Some suits in the game is run by scripts, in addition to their traditional immunites values. This is on eof those suits. It came into the game as it is and I noticed that, after another such report some tim eago, it was not correctly calculated, and since then I hav ecorrected its calculation (it checks many things and run under a math order) I had posted it then, and it's also corrected in the version 3.0. I'll try to find the calculation now, but I'm running withy very limited computer time and you may wish to be a little bit patient, if you can, thanks. Otherwise it's repaired in version 3.0 anyway.

In general:

Nano suit is NOT so early available in the game in EXTREME mode, you may not find it until you've hit Red Forest. I've tied it to script also, it'll give healing and bleeding stoppage powers, stamina, but it will be radioactive for 20 percent.
earlier posts (now a couple of weeks behind ones) give more description on the issues..

Hello all again and I like to come back to here with a error message because the game hates me. I did not kill Kruglov because it slipped my mind after i complete the get the readings mission with him but I did save upon completion and I can revert back to that save to kill him anytime I want if I can't get in.

Well heres my story before that error happened. I went down into X16 for the first time. Expecting lots of things to find out there were only snorks, zombiefied stalkers and a controller. Each had me looking everywhere as I got deeper. I turned the emission off and found Ghost dead on the floor. But he was not alone.. The controller was there waiting for me to do his confusion spells on me. After a back and forth contest the controller had fallen and I walked to Ghost's corpse. If only he was alive I could know what happened here.. Perhaps the controller killed him.. At least I avenged him if that was the case. I found the secret tunnel to escape X16 that led me to fighting more zombified stalkers along with a giant. This giant also caused me a few problems but in the end I was victorious. Upon getting back onto the surface there were helicopters blowing up zombies which I avoided just incase they come find me. I went all the way back to the bunker and I find this:

Thats right the NPCs I randomly find spawn out of nowhere into the yantar bunker. Why on earth they all appeared inside the bunker blocking the door I never know. Shame your game crashed though.

Now would anyone presume this shot would damage most people/things?

Because that thing is a ammo eater even when it comes to taking a whole shotgun round into its eye at close range. So close that its a close and personal fight.

And my last words are thanks everyone for the advice etc. I just have a question. Should I reload back to the save after completing the get the readings mission and kill Kruglov or hope for the best and carry on playing? I can't get into the bunker at all with all these NPC's blocking the passage. Including a few of the top 20 stalkers.

Great screenshots fiznerpin :thumbright: you even got the controllers to come out.

Thanks for continuing to post your progress balious. This time, you've played Stalker beyond Dark Valley.
You will get those "Can't open section 'af_mosquito_bald' type error messages in the game, it's an Xray problem, at times it can't quite handle the spawns/respawns, particularly when they are of significant propprtions. Having a lot of RAM and a higher specs systems do help a lot to this xray matters.

You said in your previous post that you're trying to add stuf into the game (though I strongly discourage people doing so) as 1) the main scripts of AMK, ABC and NLC are "extremely" complex and, 2) (mostly, but not all) AMK, ABC and NLC do continiously cross-check dozens of variables and other scripts in other files and do proceed accordingly; so, changing a seemingly unrelated part (quite possibly) will cause very serious consequences in the game.
I don't know if you've already done any such stuff on the files, but if so, then those NPCs inside the bunker may also be a result of that. I have not seen any such example happening yet. Otherwise, it is a glitch, particularly so (if I'm correct) when you have not sufficent RAMs as I remember.This, and other hardware related matters (while not forgetting any software running at that time) may easily cause the "off-line" movements of NPCs to be abandoned by Xray prematurely before they' have fully positioned in their destinations. However, that said, (considering that you haven't changed any values/parts) still none of these need to be present and in action for Xray to cough by itself, sort of entangling on his own feet without anything or anyone doing anything to it, either.

NPCs loot and shop off-line, so no lock is strong enough for them. Also, as that part of Army Warehouses is their domain/area, Freedom people can move anywhere within those paramaters, including into the rooms which are closed/conditional to the actor. Kill them all, and got the stuff back. :mozilla_smile:

maybe the Controllers are attacking you but you're not feeling it.
I noticed from this screen

that your Telepathy protection is at 169% I realise the screen is from early in your game, but I think you have the same artifacts on now.(maybe try taking it down to 80% ?)
those two Controllers you took out at the school (your last screens) did you feel them attacking you before you saw them ?
have you tried going down to the building where the crashed chopper is (opposite the tennis courts) I always found at least three and sometimes five in that building,
also, I wouldn't camp the school, the Controllers will not enter the building if you're in it but instead will wander around the side street before Sniper Alley, but once you move away from the school they'll take up positions in the school, try camping the underground garage till you feel the Controller aura (attack)
but yer, try dropping the protection down and see if it makes a difference.
'tis just a theory, but it might work. :-??

Dont worry Nightwatch I am still using the normal 2.4 NEWSA. I haven't edited one file out of it (backups are good things to do). I try again to see if I can get in the bunker this time. Maybe for now on I won't ask stalkers to follow me.

yeah, busetibi is right on that one. How on earth did you manage to get to 169% telepatic protection,man? I haven't managed that myself, I mean in normal game routine. With that level of protection, even if a controller comes and bites you in someplace, you wouldn't notice, I bet, lol. :D
Some players, like you, have a very methodical approach to locate the valuable things and not to miss them at all.

Yup, the NPCs inside the yantar bunker can also be due to the command to follow you and they ended up there, after you. The door in Yantar Lab is faulty (ask GSC why) and NPCs cannot go out easily once they are inside. it can also be an online-offline stuff as i mentioned in my previous post.
PS: Throw a grenade or two in front of the door, or fire a missile at the door. It'll open most probably, and again, most probably the faction who are inside will be your enemy. But it is the fun part, after all and you can have it repaired (your relations) once you've reahed the trader. :mozilla_smile:

there will be only ONE Nano suit available, in all modes in v3.0 (ETX/non-EXT) and no one will be selling it. You can get it only if you can succeed in doing something which will be extremely vital anyway. Because Nano Suit now is a high price item due to its real nano abilities such as ability to heal, stop bleeding gradually, giving stamina. On the other hand, it will give out some radiation as well, which will register (not cosmetic) and affect you.


Note: Nano suit has never been the top protection suit against gunfire. Some Exo ones were and are more resilient than a Nano suit. Nano suit's advantage lies in its enhanced anti-telepatic and anti-radiation properties. You all have been giving it too much value.

Now it has more powers, but it's a high-prize item now, and there is only one in the Zone.

Actually, yes - I do get the controller aura, I get blurry vision a bit, but they don't bother trying to "zap" me.

I tried running Prypryat again. No go. CTD every 30 seconds or so... last one was

I remember playing (Original) FPS R&G 3 by fatrap and he disabled all the artifacts "powers", so they were only good for selling, it made the game so much harder (which is what we all want, yes?) and it's surprising (was for me anyway) how much you depend on the artifacts to help you through the game,
so yea, Nice move on the three belt slots :-bd

That can't open... af_...2 or section...zone" are the results of Xray heart problems, so to put it this way.
As you'd notice on your screen, when spawning starts, NPC numbers start to increase in your radar, game starts having some entangling on its feet, that's Xray is breathing during spawning. I don't know why (join the bandwagon) it does that, but it does anyway and it's not a sign of being a smooth engine. It stops all other process for a split second to manage spawning an item. Therefore, in vanilla you get a few NPCs, one or two snorks or bloodsuckers around. When 25-40 NPCs spawn, in addition to a dozen or so bloodsucker+snork+ etc, then you can surely guess the strain that the poor Xray find itself to face.
If anyone can manage to put any mod on a kick-ass engine like Crytek one, then we all can have a very smooth game indeed. Or by spawning NPCs one or two in front of you. :mozilla_wink:
(in legal terms, it'd be much better if Stalker community members were to open a Crysis thread (or forum within a forum)or something and this "apparently" also Crysis game playing community members were to import a Stalker mod to run on their beloved game's engine. :mozilla_wink:)

PRIPYAT:

yes, in version 3.0 it's still freeplay. You were not around here at that time when I posted the results, so you might not have heard, that's why I'm repeating that I've eliminated that nasty (vanilla) "walk-path blockage" problems that had resulted in crashes so often in Pripyat.
I have altered their AI and they are not bound by that fault lines anymore and fighting in Pripyat is much less scripted, so things are more prone to change as they go. :mozilla_wink:

I had trouble with those crashes too. Hard to get through to go back to NPP. Since the blowout there killed me no matter what I did, unless I went underground, and I had 2million RU already, I said to hell with it. Wish I could do the aboveground parts of NPP tho. Good fighting when they have the same weapons as I do. And lots of loot! :thumbright:
