I'm with ket on this one, if a woman expects me to pay for everything, it will be the last time we go out, and she'll be going hungry/thirsty for the rest of the night she expected me to pay for her.

It's a known fact that a divorce costs 10 times what the wedding cost. So bear that in mind if she wants a big wedding. My wedding to Tina costed: $25 for the license, $0 for the actual ceremony (military chapel), and a couple hundred in food and beverage for the party we threw ourselves.

I know if any woman ever whittles me down (which, unfortunately, may happen.. several women I know are trying to set me up left an right..) the wedding will cost a shatload.. women round here are expensive. Maybe I can save money by making a tux out of large brown paper bags and a wedding dress out of spray painted tesco bags

Wedding may not need to be so heavy on the shoulders of a man, I know that there are a couple of cultures, societies in the world who give a nice sum of money to the groom. So, depending on whom you choose, you may end up quite better off actually. But just one thing, though... I'd like to take your attentions to what rockingmtranch says in the above post:
