Greetings and late congratz(for whatever I might have missed) to all. A small q, any of you got any idea why limewire won't download 7z compressions? I know that it says that it's not configured to do that when i start it but i've dl'd 7z with LW before eventhough it gave the same notice. Could it be that the latest LW updates finally denied 7z transfer?

Thats what our scientists think, however it may not be so, our definition of life may not be the only one. Furthermore that 20 LY is still bloody far if to take in to consideration that we are nowhere near inveting practical transportation.

True! The concept of "life" cannot be restricted with its definition on this earth -as we don't know for sure if there are any other definitions exist or not; and if can't say "not," then the question remains open.

Light year, well, isn't it the length of the time passes when light travels around the sun, like our earth does? Then it's a pretty damn short time. B-) (LOL, just joking! :D )
Yup, still quite a long time! Unless someone folds the space or something.

Reminds Event Horizon, yeah folding space might be a viable way of ''fast travel'' to somewhere :ymdevil:

We can hardly fix a goddamn Oil leak, let alone fold space and time itself. :P

Everyone sits and thinks of the universe and aliens on terms of what WE can do, not what a civiliasation, millions of years older than us, can do. Same as space, everyone thinks they are right about this and that, but we haven't even touched the surface.

Not sayn we can but even IF we could can we really be certain we could do it right. In the case of the said movie it did in fact work but it did not work as it was planned, yes the ship with the experimental drive core successfully went somewhere but where it actually went instead of the specified co-ordinates couldv'e only been described as hell, different dimension or whatever.
One is talking about messing with stuff related to the essence of the universe itself, if my logic does not fail me and we as a species/civiliasation are no where near, as you said, scraping the surface of it. WE have a long way to go, we have the potential we just have to channelr it the right way, given we survive long enough.

As for other alien civilasations that might be out there, they may be more advance then us or not, they may be aware of us or not, they may be benine or warmongers. We have no way of knowing those things. If there were benine aliens with space faring capabilities aware of us I wouldn't mind if they'd help us along.

You're talking sensibly DARK TEMPLAR, but the voice of sense has never stopped mankind poking their nose into almost anything. WE, generally mankind, seem to like to think later after we've don esmething, rtaher than beforehand. maybe there's more thrill in it this way. :D

Mind you, a guy (and his team of course) in M.I.T. is seriously trying to fold the space. The last time he said that it was theoretically a done deal in the plans and calculations and that all he needed now was to create that kind of energy surge at unprecedented levels to use it in this process. He was talking about creating an energy surge for a moment which is equivalent to that of all the energy used in world in a few months (how much, I forgot. Doesn't matter, for I don't have it anyway, lol :D )

True and I'm sure it hasn't allways been a bad thing, a lot of innovations have come to be cause of such actions, but then again there have been a lot of ''hickups'', So lets just hope we don't destroy ourselves in the process

Off-topic topics? Hmm... Let's try Parkour!
Anyone here practice? I've been doing it for about three years, and I love it. I play Stalker like a Traceur too. The wild territory at night is no problem when you're leaping from roof to roof to pipeline.
Glory to the holy Monolith, we shall abide in it's radiance forever.
The gloried crystal, through the arms of believers, Shall cleanse all those without true faith from the zone.
It is the greatest honour to be allowed in it's presence, let alone within it's very Home.
Pay homage to your benefactors.

Hey guys!!!!

I`m stil alive. My new little one is keeping me very busy indeed, but I still have time to script away.

Actually, after my short sabbatical, if you will, from scripting, now that I am back to it, everything seems to make more sense and it seems that I have turned the corner in scripting and understanding more and can accomplish more and more things when putting my mind to it.

Like they say, a break is as good as a holiday :D

Hope you guys are all well.
