You guys have been discussing rap for days and you have not mentioned :

Public Enemy
Beastie Boys
N.W.A
Run DMC
Tribe Called Quest
The Goats
De La Soul

Am I getting old or something? Early 90's was a very good time for rap/hip-hop whatever you want to call it.

You should check these guys out, Nation of Millions by Public Enemy is still one of my favourite all time albums.

Many people see the Beastie Boys as a bit of a joke, but the music (when you forget about the videos) is awesome at times. the single Sure Shot is great, and Sabotage still makes me grin like a child, great video as well.

Tribe Called Quest are remembered for "Can I kick it?" :pukeleft:
You should listen to the album Midnight Marauders to get over that, awesome album.

Straight Outta Compton is a great album, Efil3zaggin (100 Miles and running) was not as good in my opinion.

Gangsta gangsta, If it ain't ruff, Straight outta compton.... some classics on there.

I also like Dr. Dre and Snoop Doggy Dogg btw, though they are West Coast, 2Pac was also good, but I like these guys only when they were in Death Row by Suge Knight.

Keep their heads ringin' :)

Since y'all is discussing rap.... let's go back in time to one of the first "commercialized" rap songs:

BTW.... it was the first one to top the charts!

My oldest vinyl record is by The Rolling Stones on the Decca label, made in 62 from memory, it's never been played so it hasn't got a scratch on it.
should be worth a bit I think

God I used to love getting a single in 12" vinyl, while I now love CD's for their ease of use and maintenance, you couldn't beat taking a new vinyl purchase out of its cover.

Anyone seen Hi-Fidelity?

Anyway, back to Blondie.... hubba hubba. Wish I could time travel!!

The new Boiling Point looks pretty neat, can't remember the name.

Only thing is its not out for a while, and Farcry2 may just do everything it does 10x better.

Jamie - Its even cheaper to play a game you already have in a different way!!

I read about one guy that played Oblivion as mundane as possible. he never went on missions, just tried to live in Oblivion as an ordinary bod, but the key is if he died that was it game over, no reload.

So to make money for food he went herb gathering, in the end his mundane playthrough became exciting. Try collecting herbs with nothing but a rusty sword, no armour and no potions. A single wolf attack became a deadly enemy.

Or another one I keep banging on about, play FEAR and don't have a key mapped for Slowmo, totally different.

I also once played Farcry without using the binocs... odd I know, but combat is pretty different when you have not tagged the enemy with the binocs. Also, that has some pretty mean difficulty levels.

Hmm, Well i have gone with UFO Aftershock.

Good game just very annoying as i only have a couple of alien weps and i have to research things before i can build my own guns.

Still when i do i fit them out with AK's and a Desert Eagle for backup, then later move up to xm8's and so on.

Well have just ordered Persues Mandate... £6!! For those not in the UK, as an example new games are usually around £25. A lunchtime sandwhich can be £4!!

In the meantime, its Doom 3 with some graphical tweaks now my PC can handle them, using the "brilliant highlights" shader mod... and I just stumbled on the Doom particle editor

PS : Jamie - I'll be having a go at that fog this weekend.
