Just been playing Area 51, not bad for free!!

Never played it before, and though there are far too many cutscenes I enjoyed wielding dual machine guns... the only thing is everything seems a bit jerky and I think it is the lack of a mouse smoothing option.... worth a go....

I have not seen an advert yet either!!

Then you'd recommend? So, I'll download it now, though I can only play after the patch and maybe at that time it woun't be available anymore. Need to be quick in these things. :)

Hey guys, what do you think about our default page? I worked hours on it to turned it from Halloween theme.:)
Also, how about the "animated" icon next to the "who is online" section at the bottom?

Area 51 is an ok game for when its made but it just goes stupid i think later on. The storyline seems okay but gets too odd.

I would recommend it as it is a pretty much okay game.

Well as a freebie to tide you over until the next big game, yes I would recommend it. Worth a quick blast, and so far there were some neat little scenarios... particularly liked defending a checkpoint against waves of mutants...

Another game that will take awhile to buffer because I want you to see it
in HD.

The more I learn about the monstrosetis of mankind, the more I feel the need for a thural purge of humanity, it has become vile and corrupt and deserves to be punished.

I think that area 51 has multyplay but I'm not sure

This one looks quite alright, too. You've been catching interesting games recently on the internet. :thumbright:

Glad that you liked the default style. :)

So you give it high marks, good to know; so long download is not wasted. :)
I managed to download it yesterday, it took quite long. Site doesn't allow download manager, I was afraid that something would go wrong any second and all the download upto that time would be wasted. But, it was one of the lucky days I guess. I'll install it later , but it'll wait for the Christmas gaming spree though. :)

Possible MINOR Spoiler ahead (I guessed it would happen).

Well I was getting a bit tired of it to be honest.... my squad kept sending me to do every mission, then bitched about how long it took me to complete in my ear all the while I was looking for whatever it was they needed.... then....

They all died! :bounce:

Then I joined up with another squad who did the same thing :pale:

Then they all died! :bounce:

I think I actually did "the Carlton dance" from Fresh Prince on the second occasion.

Good... :thumbleft: Just the way I like.:) So there is sort of fluid gameplay, change alliances and that kind of stuff. You should be able to send those who piss you off to swim with the fishes... :rr: :D

EggChen has downloaded and playing Area 51. I'm referring to that. :)
I've downloaded, too, but not started yet; getting very useful intel now before smoking NPCs there later. :)

MINOR SPOILER TO GO WITH EGGCHEN'S (if you ignored his post and dont want to read mine then go ahead and dont)

Been playing it after that much eggchen? It basically mainly just sucks i think after the squads die. I mean who would of thought of what just happened that you still be alive.

And yes it is a minor spoiler eggchen :) even though it happens early on in the game.

You cannot decide who to work for (well not to how far i got to) and your strict to just complete the storyline (how what type of game like this isnt?). Like you start having to do things for someone then all of a sudden you start doing other things.

Only thing i like about this game is the beginning with the squads and after they die it just goes sucky.

MORE SPOILERS!

I mean you get infected.. Then you can transform back to human and that creature form and im just wondering wtf? while im just going through the levels killing creatures.

When I tried Area 51 I got the glitch where I didn't have a "jump" option
and could not play. Don't know if I'll try another download or not.

I didn't start play it, but installed the game, area51, but it immediately asked that I should be connected to internet for adverts, naturally, as expected. I was not on internet and had no intention to start playing, so left it there. But, on equestion though: does it require "server" rights?

You have Vista so I'm not sure but it played right away for me until I
found no jump option and couldn't continue. I had a small ad for the US
Army before playing so it might have been connected for that.

I'm guessing the adverts are area specific, so they didn't show us Brits the US Army advert!! We may get a "Hug a Hoody" advert or something.

NW, mine asked for internet access but not server rights, I use Zone Alarm and only have it ticked for the former.
