Rostok helicopter reference is in
alife_106_rostok.ltx, section
[3877], which is on
line 4719 (that's vanilla, of course).
The fire and explosion around the helicopter (which as its visual
ogf file uses:
gamedata\meshes\physics\vehicles\mi24\veh_mi24_u_01.ogf ) can be seen in its corresponding file
config\models\vehicles\veh_mi24_u_01.ltx file, under the section
[explosion] .

you can play with light colour values, on a try and see and try again basis until you've got the colours that like, or maybe you would like to use these values in somewhere else. I had a colour values chart, but gone now after "that Vista treachery on HDD" last year which I've mentioned before. You may try and find a chart around for colour values.
