Glad I am not the only one, I always go dog hunting like that when short on ammo and money, or food!! I have eatable mutant parts in game....

I'll dig through my screenies when I get home and add one.

Yes that is it, but the context is, I went to Yantar to sell some artifacts, killed 6 Mercs on the way there, literally 5 minutes later, another 6 had respawned when I returned...

It's not the size of the pile, its the lack of the wasteland we were promised for all those years!!

Not just that, but over half of that wasteland we were promised is missing in Soc! Nevermind all the cut out mutants, cut weapons, narfed attachments (as in, not being able to attach a GL to the GP36 in the vanilla game etc), the feeling your kept on a path from start to finish in the game, etc etc.

hi there everybody.
Not exactly on-topic (sorry), but you know when you`ve been playing too much STALKER when.....
The sound of a helicopter passing overhead near your house causes you to duck for cover!!!
and thanks to the NEWSASIMBION mod has even had me looking for a rocket launcher !!!

Tho in one game actually managed to down both helicopters that fly over head as you first enter agroprom level, that was very satisfying indeed !

cant wait........
loved 2.4, put the "edge of your seat" back into stalker.
tho bit of an oddity - had to play it on very low graphics settings, static lighting etc,
(and still got occasional crash/freeze of game), now playing Oblivion Lost again, same system but all graphics options at maximum and not a single crash yet ? )
has anyone else had similar things with total conversion mods ?

NewsaSimbion is a monster for a PC to handle...but you have the most crazy action going on constantly. OL was always made to be
the most stable of mods (one of them) so more people could run it.

So far I've managed to knife hundreds of blind dogs and a couple of pdogs. Boars are by far the easiest mutants to knife. Fleshes are also easy but annoying since they always act like cowards. Rodents are... I don't even bother rodents since they don't have "parts" on them.

Knifing snorks, bloodsuckers or pdogs can be pretty intense but when they do go down it feels like... victory

Dogs even in large packs are easy to "do" with knife if you just practice the right technique.

Sometimes the environment gives a helping hand, e.g. at Agroprom where you can use the Springboards.

Knifing exoskeleton monos is also a lot of fun
