Hrm, the two pilots thing seems really dumb to me. Those windows are reinforced BP Windows, they're supposed to withstand most shrapnel and small arms hits... A fifty, or 23mm would do the trick nicely though. Plus, the armoured parts of the cockpit are designed SPECIFICALLY to withstand hits from anything up to 23mm cannon rounds.

Anyways, sorry Ket for taking over this small section of your mod page :P
A bit on-topic:
Keep up the good work, man! When are we going to see a release?

TK 2.ZERO short vid

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAJmSBNRJdI

Short video showing lighting and shadows, as well as showcasing some weapons. All weapons are true to life and highly customisable. The "old" (1960s, wood) AK74 is not just visual, it has its own characteristics in contrast to the "modern" AK74.

Both other videos have finished "processing", so you can view them in all their high quality glory now.

New videos of me trudging around Yantar.. got a little distracted by enemies so didn't show off all I wanted to :p both these vids are still being "processed" on youtube, so quality will be much better when that finishes.

Awesomeness, man! I won't be around for release if its around christmas, but I will definitely give it a download after the new year.

I love the lighting, especially how the metal surfaces actually reflect light, but don't glow. And I especially love the weapon damage; that first snork you caught with a full broadside spread of bucks actually died! I am so happy at the moment :P The only thing I can say against the vids is that I don't like the weapon impulse levels... seems a bit over-done IMHO. But then again, thats just me being my anal-retentive gun guy self. I'm sure most other folks wouldn't even notice such a thing :P
Tell you what, though, if you ever need it... If you ever want ballistics charts of various ammos and performance in different firearms, I am more than happy to help! I have more gun books and magazines laying around, anymore, than is healthy... I should actually put all of this information stored in me head and bookshelves to good use!

Sounds good to me. If you want I can zip up and email the files to you so you can set the ballistics an stuff. My knowledge of firearms is limited to what weapons really can use the attachments in stalker and which can't, along with accurate firepower and accuracy ratings. Being in the UK, I don't get to play with firearms more fun than a Perazzi shotgun :(

That'd be cool. Unfortunately, I can't do anything until the 1st of the new year. Going on a Ski-trip for Christmas :P

You know, funny thing... Just a few years ago, I met a dude at a shooting range who lived near where I was born in the UK. He moved down here to the states just so he could go shooting! Now THAT's dedication to gun-fun :P

Hello there =D>

I have been following this thread for a while now and i am realy looking forward to your offical release B-) . The Vids are looking realy good and cannot believe what a great job you have done with the graphics, so much detail and i love the lightning and flashlight effects

I found your beta build 1.1 so i fired it up to have a run around and cannot believe even with full dynamic lighting on it runs so well, between 40-80 fps =D> drops around 20-25 around the camp fire but i think thats down to the 4850 :mozilla_oops:

I'm glad your enjoying the beta :) As things currently stand TK 2.ZERO should be released 24/12/09. I may have to take a few temporary shortcuts here and there to keep to the deadline, but a patch will be released early in the new year if that turns out to be the case. Theres yet more detail in the final release, and a much scarier atmosphere ;)
