Are they kidding?
Yeah, it seems the news is true. I see there's a grand scale misjudgment from KFC side. And it is so in more than one aspects. First of all, KFC is an international company, and they should -and must- stay above all ethnic and religious issues. They are a damn fried chicken seller, and they should stick to what do they know most . --and apparently it seems it's the only thing they can manage to comprehend ....That would be selling fried chicken.
It's true that they must obey the laws of the countries they operate -if they see fit to operate- and only then they would need to comply with the law of the land, such as if they want to operate in Saudi Arabia, for example, it is expected that they won't be able to sell pork meat, because the Saudi religion (which is Islam as we all know) forbids the consumption of Pork.
But this is Britain. And Britain is NOT governed by religion, any religion at all. ! So they seem to bring and apply a religious way of governing -at least- within their premises. This may even be illegal under British law.
Let's not confuse a few things here, any ethnic or religious communities within a nation, of course, can open up their own shops and anybody who wants to shop there can of course do this. This is the democracy that we've established and got accustomed to. But KFC, as an international company, is NOT a business established to cater the needs of a specific ethnic group or any one religion. They got their own feet tangled here. Are they an international company above from religions and ethnic groupings, or they are a shop established to serve only to the needs of a specific group? What they've done is beyond the acceptable stupidity!! It is as if they try to inflam ealready strained relations in Britain. One wonders if they really have a yet undisclosed ulterior motive? For what they've is that much stupid.

jamie buddy, you must know by now why I've removed your post. Though I understand your feelings upon seeing such a silly (in fact, catastrophic) management failure, and I fully support the principle and the application of the freedom of expression, however, one needs to be restrain himself when making considered comments and such comments need to be NOT too inflammatory. A little bit... well, maybe ...but not too much.
