3040Krag...not sure there is that artifact in game. The best list I could find is below. The mod might have something different but I'm not sure.
Burner
Droplet -- Deducts 10 radiation at the cost of 18% endurance
Fireball -- Deducts 20 radiation at the cost of 18% endurance
Crystal -- Deducts 30 radiation at the cost of 18% endurance

Burnt Fuzz
Thorn -- Defends 10 radiation but increases bleeding.
Crystal Thorn -- Defends 10 radiation but increases bleeding.
Urchin -- Defends 30 radiation but increases bleeding.

Electro
Sparkler -- Adds ~30% endurance but electricity hurts 10% more.
Flash -- Adds 76% endurance but electricity hurts 10% more.
Moonlight -- Adds 109% endurance but electricity hurts 10% more.

Fruit Punch
Slime -- small amount of anti-bleeding (ain't worth dick)
Slug -- moderate effect against bleeding (~200%)
Mica -- large effect against bleeding (400%)

Springboard
Jellyfish -- Adds 5 radiation, decreases bullet damage by 2%.
Stone Flower -- Adds 5 radiation, decreases bullet damage by 3%.
Nightstar -- Adds 5 radiation, decreases bullet damage by 30%.

Vortex
Wrenched -- Adds 5 radiation, decreases rupture damage by 2%.
Gravi -- Adds 5 radiation, decreases rupture damage by 3%.
Goldfish -- Adds 5 radiation, decreases rupture damage by 5%.

Whirlygig
Stone Blood -- Adds life but reduces defence from impact, bullet, and rupture.
Meat Chunk -- Adds 400% life but reduces impact, bullet, and rupture....................(af-mincer-meat)
Soul -- Adds 600% life but reduces impact, bullet, and rupture.

Rare Artifacts
These artifacts are found by sheer luck, from side jobs, (sometimes) on NPCs,
or spawned randomly in supply caches as you go through the game. There's no
single method to get them all (unless you mod your datapack and buy the items
from modified traders). Remember the Monolith building in Pripyat? That place
has several uncommon or rare artifacts the first time you visit (randomized).
You might get lucky and find something great, or get shafted and find nothing
useful. When you find a rare artifact, keep it even if you think you want to
sell it. Rare artifacts have no penalties assigned to them, unlike the
anomalous artifacts listed above. Paul Hogarth also added the Kobolok, which
was one of those small things simalcrum left behind in a stash somewhere.

Battery-A -- Adds 30% resistance against electric damage
Battery-B -- Adds 30% resistance against burn damage (see below)
Kobolok -- Adds 5% resistance against rupture damage
Mama's Beads -- Adds 5% resistance against bullet damage
Pellicle -- Adds 30% resistance against chemical damage
Spring -- Adds 30% resistance against impact damage
You forgot Kobolok: 5000 rubles, +5% rupture protection, no negatives. Unknown
anomaly creation, never seen amongst, next or in an anomaly. I have only ever
seen it in two locations, however these may be random spawn locations of it,
one is in Pripyat in the large room with all the monolith guards swaying their
heads in a dillusional trance around a piece of debris that has gone through
the roof, plus in Yantar, when you first enter the compound you'll see it
above two sets of ladders ontop of the crane above the maintenance trench.

Kevin Sanders (moo2u52) (hotmail) wrote
There are two definite places to find two rare artifacts.

1. Garbage- After you get the call to go help Bes in the car junkyard, go out
the back from where the bandits came. Head towards the stacks of pipes. To the
left, there are a number of Whirlygig Anamolies. In the middle of them there
is a Soul artifact. It's hard to get to.

2. Agroprom Base- After you steal the documents, go up on the roof. There is a
ladder. Go down the ladder and head towards the tower. There's a gap in the
fence. Run out, and you'll see a brown line of dirt. Follow it. It leads you
to a highly radioactive place near a gate. There are two Night Flower
artifacts. There maybe only one, but so far I've been able to grab two.

Anyway, there are actually two 'Battery' artifacts. One is (like you said) 30%
resistance to electricity. The other is a 30% resistance to burn. They both
have the same shape but are slightly different colours. Also, the first time I
stepped in to The Dark Forest (is that what its called? the one with X18) I
found two mama's beads just floating around that tiny little camp where the
dutyer is holding up a bandit. I also have come across two Pellicles. One was
near Big Ben and 'the family rifle' and the other I picked up in a stash
somewhere.

I discovered a curious new artefact called a "critter" which was in the sewers
where you are attacked by the invisible creature.Once having killed the
monster you will see in the room on the right hand side and about half way down
(i think) a candle and bouncing behind it a critter-i couldn't see the critter
but the word was there. I was playing the game with the night vision on and
came back to the sewer to look for goodies. Anyway the critter once shot and
picked up gives the player +30 radiation but -100 bleeding, it is also worth
5000.

Edit: Found it under Meat Chunk
I think a good place to look is Dark Valley from midnight to 5 AM.

I hate it when the typed language is not clear. I feel like I'm wasting all your time.

An anomaly, not an artifact, is what I'm looking for. I have a bazillion artifacts already, having chosen to play this game without ever selling any.

Anomalies include whirligig, burner.

Artifacts include mica, meat chunk, etc.

I'm seeking the anomaly named "meat mincer" as given in the PDA under Artifacts->Recipes. For instance, one recipe calls for dropping a tear artifact into an electro anomaly.

I need to find a meat mincer *anomaly* so that I may drop the appropriate *artifact* into it to start a transmutation.

I wonder now, if the anomaly I've been calling whirligig is actually a vortex, and what the PDA calls meat mincer is a whirligig. The fact that my current game is rich in all artifacts BUT the meat chunk may be a clue to the reason I cannot find this "meat mincer" - I've found exactly two meat chunks, one found pre-NPP and one found post-NPP. My game may have spawned few to no meat mincers.

I could be wrong (I was once in 1974) but I think you're right Krag. The whirligig is the meat mincer. Can't hurt to toss the artifact in and see if it works. Well, it can hurt if you get too close =))

Problem is, now that I equate whirligig with meat mincer, there are none available. I remember underground in Dark Valley, remarking to myself that the anomaly in that hole in a wall near where you get the door code to go deeper was missing. I haven't seen a single one (the anomaly that makes a bolt glow red hot when you toss it in).

3040Krag...sorry, I had reading comprehension dumb-ass syndrome and didn't read your post correctly. You stated it clearly. I don't currently have this mod
installed or I'd help you look for it.

audioave10,

Your response was remarkably helpful, whether or not you meant it to be. It "clicked" things into place so that I understood the issue I seem to be facing with transmutations. For that, Thank You! :)

I just started a new game, partly to take my mind off politics for a while. Holy Crap!! Was I out of the Zone too long! Got killed 10 times trying to take the car park. Lucky for me, old habits die hard. Settled down, then, and started to enjoy again.

Heh he, it surely is THE game to play particularly when you're angry about something, anything :D Best for releasing steam; speaking from experience, lol.

If I only could find a full day to work (or spreading it over days) then the improvements patch would be ready to release. Had been an awful winter (coldest in 30 years) with increasingly challenging job/work conditions that required (still do) more sweat  Lots of personal things to deal with, like all of us face. Well, I hope I'll have some window of opportunity very soon to complete the work.

Until I build a better machine, I can't play ket's twilight mod. My current rig goes into catatonic convulsions right after I talk to Cap about defending the border from Monolith in Army Warehouses. Checking things out, the CPU is pegged and the graphics first tanks to zero fps, then loses ability to render anything but frame boxes!

Soooo

It's back to starting a fresh NEWSA game! B-)

Building now a new rig around the i7/860 processor on a p55 mobo and radeon 5870 graphic card (single) 8 gig ddr3 memory, may be not a
super pc but better than the one I've got now.

3040Krag, have you abandoned the plans for building a new rig? I read that you were shopping for parts?

Sorry for the generated concern Nightwatch, I'm building at least one, more likely two. One for my son, one for me (probably - though there's a small chance I may cheap out and rebuild his AMD64 rig for my use). Then again, his AMD64 system would make a decent core for a home entertainment system, something I've been wanting to do for over 10 years now.

Hi Vizze, good to know that you've been around. Well, shotguns behave bit differently depending on the mode you choose. Actually, shotguns pretty much hit their target very good in real life, for example, you know those "pull!.." stuff? They throw discs and you shoot them with shotguns over around 80-100 meters? I hit them real good. ;)

Kaidonni

Please stop bothering me with PMs! You asked me if you could use the detectors in your own personal mod, I said yes. But I didn't promise that I would help you if you couldn't integrate them yourself properly. Are you able to do your mod or want some others do it for you? Then where's the fun in it for you?
However, I even told you to check each line very carefully , so each line/variable should correspond correct values (things... you know... like photos, sounds, strings, etc, and... of course the anomalies!!. For god's sake, it's an anomaly detector...you should've first checked if the anomalies were the same in you mod.

So you finally figured them out, that their names were different in your mod?! Congratulations!

Yes you can use Dog Tags, too, only if you know how to integrate them please. Otherwise, I can't help you on that, sorry.

A word of warning, though: if you continue to bother me with spam PMs, your PM privilege will be suspended. PMs are for private messages, not trying to have your mod done over there.

If you need help, open a thread and ask for help, then if someone has time and interest, so they may help you.
