I certainly agree about the business practices. I remember when "Ruiz" was the CEO of AMD and almost drove the maker into certain death. I'm glad he's gone.
Intel is no doubt the worst, with more than 3 lawsuits lost and millions paid out in fines ( they actually tried to kill AMD). Usually you go with whoever you've
learned to deal with the best.

Update for the new GTX 470 video card: This card is (with a little fan adjustment) NOT hot at all and the fan is high-quality and very quiet.
I have not measured power consumption but from what I've read many times its only about 10 watts more than my GTX 275. However, all Nvidia cards
use more power than ATI as they (ATI) should be commended for using so little. Anyway, so far Loving the GTX 470.

Looking now at more exotic professional keyboards. The mechanical type. My Logitech illuminated is nice but I can't re-teach myself querty typing with it.
I'm most impressed with the DECK Legend "toxic" so far.

I had been a Seagate user until recently, but the last three HDDs that I had bought one after another, not at the same time, had started to falter prematurely in their second years even before their guarantee periods were up, so I jumped to Western Digital wagon. Of course, it also depends how much the HDD is being used, I use a lot. They are "ON" about 10 hours a day, at least. Also, another point, Seagate service is awful, they just don't exist but the name on the paper. Any call to them is a waste of money. Having said that, and seeing that this particular model is being offered rather cheap, this is such a promotional/sale price that may make it a worthwhile purchase.

I needed to upgrade my storage system, so I am ordering a new SSD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227543 for a Boot Drive, and a new WD 1Tb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284 for file storage. And a new case to put them in!

Correction, NV might port PhysX to OpenCL (Computational Language for those wondering). The whole article seemed to smack of PR and nothing more though. Nevermind they were obnoxious enough to insinuate ATI tech is a couple generations behind theirs - which it isn't. Bottom line: Bullet physics is making NV nervous because it will be a open standard and thus all devs will use it because its free to do so.

American made... and that inspires you to buy it more? lol anything US made is generally inferior youknow. Proven by all Taiwan made electronics and even electronics made in China A little math too to put that $170 into perspective. Cheap keyboard: $5 x12 = $60 assuming you replace it once a year, which you don't even need to do with cheap keyboards. I churn out pretty looking cheap keyboards with all the systems I make and never had anyone calling about a dead keyboard. The keyboard you bought shouldn't of cost anymore than $80, maximum. Shop around good sir, shop around!

Gonna have to go with Dave on this. Spending that much on a keyboard is ridonkulous. Honestly. I spent £3 on my Headset, thats headphones & Mic, I've dropped it, sat on it, ran it over with my chair. Kicked it, and I dropped it out my window once. Its still alive and kicking, scratched and shit, but still alive Same with my keyboard £5 and I've punched it, smashed it against my desk etc. Still going, the space bar once became stuck, punched it again, and it just popped back to normal.

I bet if I bought that Keyboard, it'd fall apart in moments. Just saying.

Ket, many things are made over there because of cost, not because of quality. What is with this new "Throw- away " generation? No wish to have something nice, just the cheapest?

Not at all. My point is if you need something cheap, you can get something cheap and its still good quality. The keyboard I'm using on my PC is a Logitech, nothing fancy but looks nice, cost £10 a few years back... maybe 3. With the exception of the printed Logitech logo half rubbed off because of where its placed, the keyboard still looks brand new and functions like its brand new - all for £10

I'm still using an ancient Compaq RT101 PS/2 keyboard. It has to be at least 15 years old, still running strong. Made in Thailand, and the price was right: free (a cast-off throw-away from upgrades at a school). Love it!

ETA - and NOTHING is wearing off!
