Supposed to be Independence Day here in the US but with all the illegal crap going on (and we live within 100 miles of the Mexico border), it doesn't feel like a holiday anymore.

It's sort of sad really that the things developed to the point where and when people start feeling that way. Nevertheless, let me congratulate your Independence Day even it doesn't feel fun there as much as it was before.

I hope you're alright over there Rock, in California and you've escaped the fast and wide spreading fires ?
I've heard couple of people have already lost their lives, so tragic. My thoughts of course go to everyone living in California.
Such uncontrollable fires are getting more and more common nowadays around the world. Temperatures are rising severally in many parts.
Even London has lived 37-38C degrees so far.

The Cranston fire is the closest to us. If we ever have a fire, it will be evacuate with the clothes on our backs. That's how fast these stupid fires move. Death toll is 8 as of Sunday morning btw.

It seems they really are very fast. Just right now, our TV SKY News, showing a program "Wildfire Summer" covering the fires from Japan, China, Greece and California. So many fires around the world. Showing California fires at the moment, looks devastating. In danger areas surely everyone needs to be alert to escape at a moments notice, wishing you - and all others- best of luck, hope it never comes near you.

Nice to see that yer all alive and well ... at least for the most part by the last postings.

I, as well, am still alive ... still a depressive sodd but things seem to be slowly getting better. Currently holding down two jobs, which keep me occupied, though juggling day and night shifts probably isn't the best for health but that's for future me to deal with. Aside from that, over the last year, i have somehow managed to make a lass take a fall (something which was not of any of my future projections) and so far things have been going well.

And finally, many a thanks for taking the time to read and put up with my venting. Hopefully i won't need to take advantage of that in the future.

Good fortune to you all and may the coming autumn be a pleasant one.

Hey Dark Templar, nice to see you again.
Glad to hear that things are going well. You seem to be working very hard, but you have a good point there. Working hard may help stress, however, when it's "too hard" then it adds to it. Check the balance between.

Christmas is coming up STALKERS. What's everyone going to be up to? My wife Tina is driving big rig over the road and left yesterday after being home two days. She should be back on the Sunday before the holiday. Fingers crossed.

Exactly, Christmas is around the corner, but whatever the reason it feels to me there is still some long time ahead. I think time doesn't pass quickly for me nowadays, haha.

Today is being Saturday, Tina's return must be hours away now then, great re-union for you both.

Actually, she got home on Monday after "they" said she quit (which she didn't). Cost us $400 to rent a car to get her home. And my company sold to another and I didn't want to apply with the new company. So, right here at Christmas we find ourselves out of work. And what do we do? Go gambling HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Sorry I was not able to be here earlier, but flu season hit me again here, had forgotten my flu jab and apparently I'm one those who are quite susceptible for it. Had all Christmas ill, that was something.

I am sorry to hear all the misfortunes hit you just before Christmas time, businesses must learn to behave more dignified and humane particularly in times like Christmas; at least over here they try to restrain themselves a bit more during the festive holidays when families tend to come together and they don't need a kick in the derrier just before that!

I hope things have turned out at least a bit better for you at the end; and this wish indeed goes to everybody, too.

Hoping that everyone has experienced a nice Christmas, as much as possible, and also wish a great and a much better HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!
