Nightwatch...seems you have a bigger problem than just us!
DARK TEMPLAR...Witcher is good if you like 3rd person games (I don't).
If you want to "get real" with your address and you happen to live in the US, I'll send you a copy of Witcher for free. It's legit as I got it free with
a new video card.

Guys, those things (inflation to forum to sabotage) no problem in reality, truth; and cacthing those and deleting them have become almost a funny past-time for me. :D

----

On another note, WTH is going on in financial world?! Stockmarkets are crashing too fast. Not that I've invested anything, though. The company I'm in, has lost a lot of money and today accountants were drawing the whole of the money from the banks here, and as far as I'm aware, transfering to gold and storing in bank safes. Wow, look at those measures. It's like wartime. Forget about the CO4, or what, get into the stockmarket. Everybody is on each others throat. :D

(many theories around: some may even see it as a slight repositioning of wealth distribution: :-k )

Your right Nightwatch, I just saw the stockmarket stats on euronews, all of them went down. Perhaps a new ecnomy crysis

@audioave10
To get real with my adress, ah .... well, wouldn't really matter. You see I live way across the little pond called the Atlantic ocean in a small country in the north-eastern part of Europe called Estonia, so it practically makes the same as stated on my profile, nonetheless I love living here.

Thanks anyway

Hey, the Bar is here for anything we want to discuss, don't worry.

I may try it again, I just could not get over the fast travel shite, and I couldn't seem to just explore. Maybe it opens up later.

I have seen a number of mods that would seem to improve things, but the problem here is I don't know what I want to improve without playing the game vanilla. At the moment I can't force myself to do that.

I have brought the game (got it cheap) so I am sure I will play it at some point. At the moment I am playing SHOC and loving every minute, I finally finshed a revamp of my game that makes it very challenging, but with an emptier zone. Like Stalker should be

I'm also playing through FEAR again (thanks to Kany's avatar) and I gotta say I forgot how awesome this game is. The AI is so great it feels like I am playing human opponents sometimes. On that note I used to play FEAR online, and I was pretty good, so I do occasionally slip into twitch, jumping around mode in the single player game, and that is not wise against multiple opponents.

One vaguely amusing story, after an hour on FEAR I launched SHOC. Turned a corner face to face with a bandit, I only tried to jump kick him, and got a sawn-off in my face for the trouble.

Edit: Financial troubles....

I work in stocks and shares and four months ago I had £15k in shares of Lloyds TSB through previously working for them... current value £5k. The price dropped to a 10 year low today, so I brought £2k worth. I figure the only way is up... lets hope so!!

OMG, hilarious, LOL. :D :D Yeah, it happens, similar experiences happened to me too, when changing games after playing them for time. :D :smilebox:

Well, I'm really sorry to hear that. You've already, unfortunately, lost a lot, so you may well stick to the remaning value of your shares, but I'm sure you'll think very thoroughly. -they don't let people know about their troubles earlier, due to obvious reasons, so moving quickly and sparing your shares and money is not easy at all. You've lost a lot, sorry-

It's difficult to give ideas, recommendations in these kinds of situations, but, in my opinion -and my opinion only- the banks (those big banks particularly) don't look like they will be getting out of this mess quite good. They may get once more ar maybe twice state money, but senior finacial analysts do look very pale when viewing the tables, if I put like this.

Problem is that people now do not have enough money anymore to sustain their capital expansions, and they have already loaned enourmous amounts with the expectations of even greater interest returns, while themselves and other corporations continued to cut the jobs trying to maximize their profits; but they forgot on ething. People need to be getting good money in the first place in order to buy stuff and pay for it. This is the main problem, when people do not have money, applauding and trying to raise their confidence would not work. You can't spend what you don't have, no matter how much you are cheered to do so. :)

FEAR is great...I have all 3 of them. Hey guys, this upcoming game is
made in Russia and some of the devs used to work for GSC. Maybe
that's why Clear Sky is different as it looks like a split-up of the original
GSC team. This is called...Metro 2033:

I emailed him last week, he said he was working very hard, long hours nowadays and said that he was quickly checking the forums as much as he could. He has a difficult and time consuming job. :)

This game (Metro 2033) looks very interesting. It reminded me of FEAR and Far Cry at first look. Any other info on it? This is the first time I heard of it.
If you have further info and want to add further stuff, it'd be good to a have thread of it on the games section as well. Really looks interesting. Is it PC or console game, or both? Eveerthing was in Russian, didn't understand anything. :)

I only have the original FEAR, One of the sequels was said to be just the same story but from a view point of another team member. The other one, well, I forget tbh, would you recommend it?

Metro 2033 will be (?) some kind of post-apocalyptic horros fps, based upon a russian cult novel. http://www.m-e-t-r-o.ru

If the Metro project will not die, expected release date is 2009.

Metro looks quite promising, I checked their site. Engine seems to be a top-notch one as well. OK, another thing to put into the expected games list. :)

audioave10

Thanks, I'll start with "Extraction Point" first, when I get into FEAR mood. :toimonster: :D

Yep... I can't wait for Far Cry 2! It looks pretty good.... but Crysis looked pretty good too in the previews. I was sure disappointed by it. The original Far Cry was excellent!

I have been playing some old favorites.... Half Life 2 and Episodes 1 and 2 for it. I had never used a mod for that game before, but about half way through Episode 1 I got tired of that crappy suit flashlight and threw together a mod for it... or rather, I took my famous chainsaw and butchered a bunch of script until I got it working a little more to my tastes. :mozilla_tongue:

It is almost like R&G... I made it so I could carry lots of ammo and I pumped up the power factors on the weapons considerably. It is controlled by a "hot key" and you have to load it each time you do a level change, but it also gives you a bunch of ammo when you do that! Remember in the original game you could only carry 3 RPG rounds??? Just think of the fun you can have with 25 of them!

Man, it is a lot easier modding for SoC than some of these other games. Just trying to figure out what to mod is an ordeal...
