Have one on me... :drinkers:

I personally like the new applicants, usually have at least one small laugh from the names they come up with.

Good, so you're OK,rockingmtranch  I'm watching the news of those immense fires in California (isn't it the second time this year?) and I was just thinking to send you an email to see if you're OK. Awful fire, and tragic consequences unfortunately. :(

While speaking about disasters,(though it's not quite as same as the fires in California) I've heard that there is a Locust swarm attack going on in Australia. I hope busetibi will be fine as well. :)

25 miles away was the Orange County fire. Close enough for me. Damn shame about all those peoples homes but being alive and well.....

Scorching forest fires just 25 miles way? So it wouldn't be too unrealistic to say that you were lucky! You must've felt the heat of the fire on your face there.

On equestion comes to mind though. As it is obvious now, and it's well known that those parts of California are too vulnerable to fires, why the (California) goverment gives residential permits in those areas. Every year at least twice fires, and unfortunately there are casualties most of the time. maybe the area too populated that they have to continue to allow settlement?

Good. Wife and I were just lining up the Spring semester's classes a little while ago. And, I'm carrying A's in my classes right now. I keep that up, I just may be something someday (if I can get away from Fallout3 for ten minutes).

Well, this is my first year of college and I'm 48 so no one can say it's too late. Never too late. And even in this horrible economy, the accountants are still working.

It's not late at all, actually a very good age. Accounting is a very serious business and appearances are also equally important. You will have more customers than a person who's just got his drinking rights :)

I know someone, a family friend, who left his teaching job and became a doctor after forty-something as well. I heard him he's having a high life now. You see :)

Rockingmtranch, good to hear you are OK.

I must say, if any of you didnt know, that UBUNTU was started by a South African, Mark Shuttleworth. He founded A company called Thawte in 1995, which cil in digital certificates and Internet security and then sold it to VeriSign in December 1999, earning R 3.5 billion (about US$ 575 million at the time). He started working out of his garage, and slowly started employing more and more people and then hit the jackpot. From what I`ve heard, none of his previous employees need to work again.

A story that makes us South Africans proud :thumbleft:

EDIT:

OK, we've got an attack, so the smileys got automatically disabled for defense. Only the written meanings are now going to posts. I'll be checking and Host company will be checking as well. They'll be back soon.

Also, I'm planning to upgrade the forum software from the current one phpBB 2.x to the version 3.x in the next weeks, after I've completed the mod update. Then the forum update. The new forum update will bring some more features. :)
