OK Guys, this is EggChen's Heli:

It's not one of those vanilla ones which uses the same rusting chopper skin. This one is a brand new, action-seeking heli.
After, if you manage to, of course :badgrin: shot down the chopper, the fallout pieces remain on the level, until you leave that level. they don't disappear into the thin air.

Sorry people!
Had deadlines for work to be done (somehow they changed to next week somehow and i still haven't finished them). Also Left 4 Dead has distracted me too so i didn't have any time to play stalker since i last posted. I will try and play it now and inform you all on the action.

Also about the crashes i had in the main menu. The files it had problems with were in that folder so it looks like its another one of the problems by my computer. Any idea on how to fix it? it was the one that crashes when you go to the load game screen on the menu.

Edit:
I do however have some pictures from the last game and sort them out of what ones are good or not.

Left4Dead said (and seems to be) a good game, I'll check it's news on its thread later. :) If your STALKER is crashing on its "Load Game" menu screen, considering that your fsgame.ltx is of course still continous to be properly enabled) then the STALKER might've got corrupted, you may wish to reinstall STALKER and patch it accordingly. It'd take ten minutes or so I guess but it should cure the problem. :)

Don't know if I have asked this before :scratch: but could you do so that when in freeplay, one can turn the brainscorher in radar and the psi emmiter in yantar on and off at will. That adbe great :cheers:

It'd require some considerable work, but it can be done of course. But then, it would need a story associarted with that action, otherwise why would anyone turn it on in the game story if nothing happens. Then at that point, there need to actions/results of this reactivation in the game which would need to be supported with the new storyline. It's nearly a qhole of the STALKER again need to be modded in.
But it's a good idea, and it is duly noted. :thumbleft: You never know you may see something like that in the future updates. :mozilla_wink:

Been away for some time, family problems and that. Just read the update in GSC thread and here, saw the pictures. Shocked! That'll be so hot. I said the same in GCS but repating myself, I may need gloves to touch this version. hot hot.

Two questions, both related to the rocket ammo:

1) How did you pull off the mini-rockets, and

2) is there a way to delay the start of the engine?

I ask because I'd like to implement 40mm (NATO LV grenade) mini-rockets, as the mod I'm currently writing is inspired by certain cyberpunk games that have mini-rocket ammunition for same. I'd prefer, however, if it didn't light off the engine as soon as it launches, because that just looks silly. Also, I'll be using this technique (with no particles/sound) to get semi-convincing bullet behavior from the GL (12-gauge/4-gauge shotgun adapter, 'practice' solid rounds, 40mm slug, beehive). So - care to share? :)

Hi Silverpower,

Happy to see that you're interested in my missiles. :) For the first part of your question we need to look at the NW310-SP (and later addition of NW350-SP, which is based on 310) on weapons_unique.ltx. -If you don't have the latest version, you may download the 2.4 patch which has the file. Or, I can email it to you if you wish so.-
Missiles work in two sections: main section and missile/warhead section. first part is tied to the warhead by
fake_grenade_name = wpn_rpg8_missile

This rpg8_missile is new in the game as identity immunities. You need to use the main section such as how m209 grenade is tied to a fake_grenade. (but its action is different of course) In my case, NW310-SP is tied to rpg8.
Change the list of the values as you see there to your requirements, such as frags, frag hit impulse, frags r, frag hit, hit type blast, etc. But as you know, not all changes do go well together and they need to be set (by hard work and tries :) ) depending on what one wants, envisages from the end result and require a lot of tries for the best desirable effect.

You have a very good idea there, using it without particles as a canon type of slug. Please do not hesitate to email me during your works and tests. I would happily try to do an ammo/missile for you for your mod,but it'd need to wait until I've finally managed to complete the update of the mod, as the sacle of work went well beyond of original intention (and I'm happy with the results) and weapons stuff as such do require considerable time and attention. I'd be available in two-three weeks time.

About the time delay missile ignition, well, frankly, I hadn't though about it until you've brought the question up. I'm not sure if STALKER has a time delay ignition code, I doubt it; though I can't say it's impossible either. I have to think, there may be a workaround for it, otherwise it may need to be coded in and tied to the missile, in that case not an easy job. I'll get in touch with you if I can work something out. :)

About that psi emitter and brain scorcher thing, you should talk to Xia-Ni
his freeplay mod has that feature fully operational, that might save you some time on implementing the feature, not much but still

Hey Guys,

An enquiry :)

Does anyone of you know Russian? I gave still one and half/two pages of Russian Dialog left among the files. It's quite a painstaking work for me as even with the best translation software and although better than Google translation, still the output comes like a horse manure (sorry about the description) and I have to spend immense amount of time trying to figure out a sensible enough dialog out of those translations.

If anyone knows Russian, I'd appreciate help. :)
I can transfer those unreadable text on the files that you see into readle Cryllic, so it can be translated.
