NatVac...nice reviews but it's obvious you're bringing a high IQ and
common sense factors into a business that's all about money and
hype. Such great advertising for Far Cry 2...and look what we got.
The BIG problem is dumbing-down of ALL games to fit with the
kiddie console money-paying crowd (mom & dad's money).
I'll wait till it's bargain bin or never. I like Fallout 3 and the GECK
will be released in 2 weeks with full modding tools. I remember liking Painkiller because I didn't have to think much.
You're reviews are dead-on target.

First of all, my deepest sympathies Verton23. It's horrible living an experience like this. But, as everybody said, you've escaped with your life at least, dangerous times unfortunately. Hope they'll get caught sooner than later so they won't be hurting more victims.

Great reviews NatVac, it was a sheer delight to read them. :-bd Right on the target as well.

So as it seems no on ereally happy with the current trend of crap releases of eagerly expected games. Yes, I agree, too, that it's all about grabbing the money from the consumers (mostly from the students, and such). For the benefit of securing better releases in the future, at least affecting it to a certain degree, we as the players and consumers must continue to criticise such badly releaed games and warn the potential buyers. Once they see that consumers do not like such crappy games, and do not pay for them, only then gaming companies can start working a bit harder.

Thank you everybody for your supports. It helps a lot. Thank you. :) I spend a good part of today at the police station, looking at pictures and stuff. they asked me if I could identify anybody. I guess they need to, but didn't work, no faces that I could recognise. They were just ordinary looking people, teenagers, there are millions of them with the same look around, so while being mugged it's not the best concern to try to map their faces anyway.lol.

No, busetibi police did not offer me a ride home, I don't know if their usual policy or maybe they were very busy. they said they didn't enaough officers to deal with incidents and stuff, so I guess it wsa that.

those you guys in the US are luck, at least luckier than us Brits here. You can legally own and carry gun with license to protect yourself and your family. we walk here like ducks. Government doesn't allow us to own, buy, carry anything that may help us defend ourselves. We cannot even carry a "tazer" here!

Women are being attacked, a lot of incidents on streets, tazers can save them, or at least give a chance for it for example. While the criminal do not ask for permission from government and being a criminal they don't care if it's illegal to carry weapons. So our government lets us in front of them without no option to defend ourselves.

Mind you, if you beat up a burglar or a mugger here, they put you in prison for assault, because you need to try escape first, if it don't work then tell them to leave your property. If they don't, you still can't attack them and kick their arses out of your home. It'll be assault. So, if they refuse to leave your home and continue to burgle your house in front of you, what can you do? I don't know? Watch them? Oh, I guess I need to call police while they watch me. Sure, that'll scare them and be safe for me. =))

Yeah, well, but I don't think that having a gun would help you a lot in a situation like what you've (unfortunately( experinced. It was a terrible situation, I sympathize with your bitterness, but what could you do with a gun (assuming it was legal to carry one) whhe someone suddenly puts a knife on your throat, the way you say that it happened. You can't pull the gun and and scare them off, too late for it.

But I see your point, in your situation I think everyone of us would feel the same way. :)

Now I expect some would argue that karate or judo is the best answer. :)

First thing my Tae-Kwon-Do instructor taught me was run away if you can, so he trained us to be fit first..... then if you have to stop and fight, hopefully they will be more knackered than you!!

You know, we're working very closely on this Forum and on the Mod, so I should know these things before I might piss you off or something ;) B-( :D

Yeah in SA if you shoot some dude breaking into your house, you will be tried for murder. Preeety unfair if you ask me.

Just this last week there have been Three break ins in my area and one maid tied up :mozilla_surprised:

If I catch some low life in my house , he`s fkn dead and thats that. I have a 4 month old boy now and I will protect him and my wife no matter what.

On a brighter side, our new minister of defense has controversially ordered policeman to shoot to kill when chasing offenders who have commited bad crimes like rape, murder, cash heist etc I`m all for it , shoot the fckrs I say.

Sorry , just me ranting, but crime here is out of controll :mozilla_yell:

Don't worry, first I did it mainly for fitness, and secondly this was many years ago, before I knackered my knee ligaments while doing some noncy flying kick!! I couldn't walk for six months, and never managed to train properly afterwards, the knee was just too weak.... so I had to take up mountain biking to keep the knee strong (no impact you see, like running or tennis or something like that). Third, I'm a sesitive human being... like these guys :

By the way, EggChen came from my brother's nickname for me when I was studying Tae-Kwon-Do.... his was the Ginger Ninja.... me and my two brothers all went for years.

Lots of people tend to lie about things to try and make themselves look cool. This could be something like that. Unless they somehow one of those people that somehow get this kind of stuff.

I however will not believe it until i see it.

Anyway that video is quite good. Its making me wanna play S.T.A.L.K.E.R again.

EggChen, Sorry to hear that you've had a nasty accident during your Tae-Kwon-Do sessions. Did you have belt?

Red belt, two away from Black, and the sum of about 4 years of training!!

There is a silver lining, I know we are due for a cold spell before most people do , it aches like a bitch!! :(

Right, I am off to finish Crysis, I really want to start playing Fallout 3 and I don't like swapping between games too much, I always end up hitting inappropriate keys... like trying to jump kick a Stalker after playing FEAR :ymbringiton:

PS: Anyone who can max Fallout 3, checkout tweakguides, some nice tips to increase the detail in the distant landscape...

Edit: Finished Crysis (my last save was on the carrier), definately a game of two halves!! Loved the opening sections, right up until I was fighting the aliens. Guess they did not learn from Farcry!! The last few levels develop into mindless quicksave attrition... Saying that I'll definately play it again, though probably only the earlier levels and some single player mission that have been released.

You won't believe how many times i did this.
My reaction to not doing it: Why are you not doing it?!
My reaction after finding out wrong game: oh smeg im playing stalker not FEAR.. *reloads from death*

I still have not learnt my lesson from swapping games and swapping back.. I still do it :(

WoW! RED BELT ha? :diabloanifire:

Accident or not, you still must be quite deadly. Have you ever broken any bricks? I guess you must've done to get the red belt. ](*,) (don't headbut the walls though)

If I were you I'd keep a Tae-Kwon-Do suit with a red belt attacked in my car and also at home in a visble place. It must be a bigger deterrent than hanging a gun onto the wall. :axe:

swapping games? I know what you mean guys, I've had the same things quite often when I was swapping between STALKER and GRAW2; e.g. they fire at you, you hit the dive/prone button, stupid Marked One keeps standing with open mouth (I guess  ) then ... where was the reload button? lol. :D
