I am seriously =)) at you all talking about hitting the wrong keys when playing different games. I've been doing that for 8 years now :)) . At one time, I had 100GB's of games on my pc. Defrag took forever! Jumping between games was funny as hell :D

This one was far less fatal to my character... I kept trying to loot bodies in Crysis :-??

I really did play Stalker for far too long.

Edit: Nightwatch - I was never a fan of breaking things, as a certain Mr Lee once said in Enter The Dragon "Boards don't hit back"... saying that, we had to break boards in some of the later examinations, the explanation was that it demonstrated we could be accurate with power... or something like that.

I also had to learn the Korean phrase for everything we did, including basic things like "defense", "forward", "attack", etc. Which reminds me, I must try Crysis on the highest difficulty (at that level the NPC's speak Korean rather than English so you can't anticipate their actions). Lets see if any phrases are familiar...

"I kept trying to loot bodies in Crysis" =)) I agree, I'm afraid I'll be doing the same.
And thanks for the tip, when I start playing Crysis, I'll choose the highest difficulty setting as well. It seems they had a good idea there by making some dialogs, talks (between Koreans) as Korean. Surprise element. :thumbright:

Same here, I hear you well. :)

Yep, they sure can be dumb, but oddly enough at times they seemed pretty smart, seeking me out at my last position after I had cloaked and moved on... I guess you have to remember they are fighting an invisible, fast, heavily armoured guy with insane strength (depending on how you use your suits abilities).

Little tip Nightwatch, if you want the Korean language on lower difficulties you can by changing the settings in the diff files found in Crysis\Game\Config.... "diff_bauer" is the hardest difficulty setting (a tribute to Jack Bauer presumably). Although most of the game can be done on hardest settings, I found some of the alien encounters were just too much on hardest (protecting people missions and non-stop spawning attacks are used for some later encounters). Unfortunately they lost the plot in later level design.

This means they speak Korean, 1 is English.

Tweakguides includes this hack, plus many others, its worth reading up on it first.

Crysis is a very good game but the AI hardly ever go smart against me :(
Only time i found the game hard (even though i have not completed it) was being chased by a helicopter throughout that level which annoyed me as i tried hiding and running and it still came out of no where.

Is warhead much better then crysis or does it lack the same AI? Also why are your allies AI so crap? I mean a kid could shoot better then your teammate on that one level where hes on the thing trying to snipe for you.

Also more on the deal of trying to do things on the wrong game. I can tell I have not played stalker for a long time as everything to me on controls seemed wrong (I must of been thinking of dead space thinking it gone FPS and on a planet with lots of humans and weaker creatures).

If your out of missiles, shoot the chopper in the tail rotor with an assault rifle.... you can take them out pretty quickly...

Oh, and Stalker has the same thing, choppers are weaker in the tail rotor, and the cockpit (in vanilla anyway).

At times I loved Crysis, at times I hated it. Warhead (from the reviews) is the good and bad points of Crysis condensed into a shorter game. Opening levels - ace, closing levels - quicksave attrition against constantly spawning aliens, with "defend" and "turret" missions.

You do get to wield dual submachine guns though :finga:

There are fun moments but the best part is that I can carry all the weapons, from the pistol to the minigun. Oh and EggChen what's that about dual smg's I have only noticed dual pistols

POSSIBLE SPOILER (CRYSIS)
edit: Man the the ending sucks just when I was hoping to go back on the island to annihilate the bastards, the fcking end credits roll out

Dual SMG's are in Crysis Warhead... and yep the ending is typical "We are planning a sequel" bollocks.

You used the cheat to carry all weapons? I'm going to do that on my next game, because of the limited ammo for some weapons, I spent most of my first playthrough using the Korean AK74-like weapon.

Don't be it's not that good of a game, adequete ( < hope i got the grammar right) at best. Though I might play through it once more with the devmode, which reminds me, EggChen could send me a crysis shortcut with the devmode commande like this C:\Program Files\Crysis\bin32\Crysis.exe" -DEVMODE
I'd really be thankful for that

DT - Sure thing, but I have my Crysis in a "Game" folder, I never use default install directories....

Let me know the exact path and commandline you need... So basically, where did you install Crysis?

As for adequate, I would disagree (sort of), it is brilliant, and shit at the same time. It's never average, I was either having loads of fun, or screaming fury at my screen. I'm playing it again on Delta difficulty, but only as far as the Alien ship level. I am having a great time, being really stealthy, and considered in my approach. Scouting out a base and tagging enemies with binocs is still a neat touch.

I was crawling through bushes, when I decided to run accross the road into some other cover, just as I did a jeep rounded the corner.... so quick change into cloak, made it accross the road with a small amount of energy to spare, and lay prone in the undergrowth. Watched the jeep pass, then nailed the gascan on the rear by the spare tyre.... boom, didn't know what hit em.

What path do you mean, the one where the shortcut is C:\Program Files\Crysis\bin32 or what cause that and the commandline -DEVMODE ( which i think goes in the end of "C:\Program Files\Crysis\bin32\Crysis.exe" what I think is target line in the properties )
The full line should look like this C:\Program Files\Crysis\bin32\Crysis.exe" -DEVMODE

Sorry if thats confusing but thats all I understand

Ok I'll send you one like that, I thought it may be something like EA Games\Crysis....

Edit: Sorry, no joy, it won't let me create a shortcut with a path that is not valid.... mine is installed in C:\Games\Crysis...

I used the DX9 tweakfile that enabled very high setting in XP (DX10
settings). Was easily the best looking game I ever had. Water was
amazing to say the least. I have Bioshock and the water was good but not near like it was in Crysis. I still only loved the game until it became linear and full of aliens.
