Yup, he'd said he was very busy at the factory, cost cutting and few workers trying to keep things going and all that, he'd said he hardly get a shower a sleep then work. Maybe an email would be nice to ask him again if he's still alive, lol. I hope he's OK though.

And if he does have any time, he's repairing laptops. I suspect he
keeps his mind busy to try to forget the pain he has. I wish he could
feel good for a while so we could do lunch or something since he's
only 20 miles away from me.

I was wondering. He and EggChen are why I first looked up this site. Being busy at work, I understand. We laid off 175 drivers and now the rest of us are running like hell. On my laptop now while I have a little time. And I know about pain and how it wears you out. I wish him well.

Fatrap/John is a good guy, I first ran into him on the filefront forums, always helpful, polite and often amusing. Well this may sound strange but if he is never here because he is busy at work, doing well with his side project and earning money, then I am glad! Times are tough these days.

Yeah, that's where I first "saw" both of you. You even talked well of my first try at modding. So thank you. Been working 12-14 hr days lately, checking here for things, and then playing NS2.4 for an "hr". Look at the clock and 3 hrs are gone and I don't get enough sleep. So it is Nightwatch's fault!!

Hey y'all!!! Sorry for my absence... just been busy with some projects at home and let time slip away... just checked my email and saw that Nightwatch was wondering where the heck I was and he told me about this thread.... you guys worry about me more than my own family does!

Anyhow, health is fine (at least as good as it's gonna get) and I have been pretty busy with my laptop project. I have rebuilt about 20 or 30 of these laptops and am selling them about as fast as I can refurbish them. I started with the Dell Latitude C600 series and am now working on the D600 series which are newer and more expensive.... but easier to sell!

My machinist job has slowed down and we are just working the normal 40 hours again. BUT the area that I live in got hit with a huge ice storm a couple of weeks ago and I have been spending a lot of my spare time cleaning up the mess... I live in a wooded area and the trees really took a beating from the ice. I have a pile of tree branches from the storm that is about as high as a three story building.... thankfully I have a big "holler" in the back of my yard (that is a "valley" for you city slickers) and I can toss this brush DOWN it to make a pile. Never seen so much damage in this area from a ice storm before.... whew!

Anyhow, I will kick myself in the arse and try to get back in here more often. I need to fire up the game again (haven't played it in ages) and I think that will get me motivated again. BTW... I got FarCry2 and Fallout 3 for Christmas and I haven't even had the chance to install then yet!!!

On a final note.... you all are pretty special folks! I sure appreciate all the concern and I'm sorry that my absence caused the worry that it did! See 'ya soon!
