Kaidonni, just for the books, as they say.

(How was the driving test?)
I passed!

I mean, I spent just about the entire test expecting to have failed, and thinking I'd failed. But, when I pulled into the car park at the end, I was pleasantly surprised when my examiner said," I am pleased to say that you have passed." Not sure how to feel at the moment, I've been sort of numb over the whole weekend really, I don't think the reality of the situation has hit home yet. I can now drive on my own! Well, granted, I need insurance (and a car - my mother won't let me drive hers except on a few occasions), and I also need a job (so I have money to buy my own car). But...I am on step closer to my dream of going on holiday to France by myself (I love going on holiday to France, but I still go with my parents, and I think that might be getting old now since as I am 22, 23 in August). I fully intend to be a responsible driver and not one of the muppets I see on Road Wars (and no, I don't mean the cops for those of us who may be even more cynical than me

).
I had about nine minor faults on my test. On one of them, observation, I had three faults. That technically means he could have put it down as a serious fault and failed me, but didn't. For some reason, I also had a few issues on revving the engine when leaving junctions and such, which in my warm-up lesson beforehand I did not. LOL. I even managed to mess up right at the start when the gear stick didn't go into gear and the car juddered!

Only did two maneouveres. Reversing around a corner and a turn in the road (three-point turn). And to think, I practiced my reverse parallel parking beforehand on the warm-up lesson, and three times! At the end of the test, I did manage to park properly into a bay in the very small car park where the tests in my area start from. Drove right in. Granted, by that point, I'm not sure if they would have been fussy about how I parked (apparently, one person my instructor had go for a test parked across THREE bays at the end and still passed

). Of course, I still managed to bay park it properly (and all this time I was not too hot on bay parking, although I'd only done it in reverse beforehand).
It's all like a bad dream that's over. I was so worried and unsettled on Thursday evening and Friday morning. Just wasn't feeling well at all. But at least it's all done with now.
