Yeah, went the long way around (remembered you saying that those were all open - #:-s ) On my way to DV now... that damn chopper is back, and me with no heavy hitter to take the fkn thing out. ](*,)
But it's Kodak minute time!
Unbelievable - vivid colors.... props to the visuals:

Finished Scorcher last night. Still no codes! B-)
I checked the bodies, no dynamite. Will go back and double-check, might have missed a body. Besides, That chopper and 3 APCs pissed me off. :ymdevil:

Great looking pictures Fiznerpin1962 and Wombat_70 :thumbright:

Yes, Wombat_70 ,Monolith sometimes cause havoc in the Bar area, some epic battles can be seen with dramatic, sometimes with tragic endings. Oscar winning performances from all sides. lol :D

Fiznerpin1962, I saw your post on awards thread, that says taht you've now proceeding through the Drak Valley towards Cordon. Don't forget to complete the "military case mission from Blockpost" there. :mozilla_wink:

Good going theer, Grump642 :thumbright: But the codes are within your grasp, I believe. But they're not in Red Forest and beyond, as I mentioned. all are below that level. If you wish of course, take a small stroll trough AW to the bar, in fact, to Cordon. :mozilla_wink:

=============

Hey Guys,

Some of you have already found one set of numbers, as it appears. I think that number is a six digit number. But, Ihaven't heard of anyone yet finding the other 7 digit number. Maybe you've found it, but I haven't heard of it.

I wonder who will find it first, so completing the both numbers first. :-k :mozilla_smile:

Hello there :thumbright:

Trying to get to grips with freeplay, wow its realy hard man, its all out war and they taking no prisoners =D>

Zombies are just nasty, a load will just insta pop in on you and hand you your ass if you dont hide or take them out realy quick :-o

http://i476.photobucket.com/albums/rr127/Ultradad2008/zombiespackinggoodarmourandweapon.jpg

The dead bodys are realy piling up, they must be slugging it out when i am in a different zone :thumbright:

http://i476.photobucket.com/albums/rr127/Ultradad2008/nice.jpg
http://i476.photobucket.com/albums/rr127/Ultradad2008/latenightlooting.jpg

But the realy scary thing i have noticed is this, you kill a mob or finish a quest and and a ton of mobs just drop in and its completely random, there is not one dull moment now =D> . You just dont know what is gonna happen in the next 5 mins. The next screenshot shows what happened after the quest updated, loads of firebites, zombies and duty just dropped in :-o

http://i476.photobucket.com/albums/rr127/Ultradad2008/bigfirebitepop.jpg

Back to work, still looking for those codes :ymdevil:

I hear you, Wombat. I am currently trying for the documents @ the outpost in Cordon. 3(more?) friggin' APCs & all I have is an empty RPG, my Groza, a worthless scoped Abakan, & a fistful of grenades. I have been trying to not actually buy anything - has worked up 'till now... ](*,) Gonna have to make a trip to the bar & *shudder* buy some rocket propelled grenades. :mozilla_yell: I did down my first chopper in DV though - found an RPG with one round left.... this is awesome! :-bd

I really should quit being such a tight-ass & buy some hardware..... :-w

Hey busetibi, and the also you all Guys, fortunately I'm not sitting next to any one of you at this time, because when you've found "that elusive 7 digits numbers" you may beat the hell out of me, lol, :D It's present on 4 locations. It was a gamble to put the number like that, so it means I can hide things well enough and I were to hide soemthing then no one can find it easily. Hmmm... tempting lol :D Could it be in some places where you haven't bother to look?? :mozilla_wink:

Nice shot with an RPG fiznerpin1962 You nailed that damn chopper good. :thumbright: Don't skip finishing the Cordon military case mission though, you will get some goodies at the end. :mozilla_wink:

Thank you Ultradad :salute: So you go swimmingly well in Pripyat in game-wise, of course if we discard the bundles of enemy running around, or, maybe betetr to say, running in front of you. :thumbright: Great pictures.

Grump642, you seem to have grabbed the Sid and the Zombies episode as well, great. :thumbright:

Nice pictures there Wombat_70, they tell a lot what kind of a carnage you've passed through there. :thumbright:

Okay, had this CTD tonight...

XR_3DA.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module "C:\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl\bin\xrParticles.dll" at 001B:01ADC262, PAPI::ParticleManager()+1042 byte(s)

I've come across it before, when playing ABC Inferno 1.2. The fix back then was something to do with turning off the blood effect for mutants, and I'm wondering what to do here, seeing as how the db.script for NS 3.0 is slightly different to Inferno By slightly different, I mean I find no entry matching:

-- Gore (on/off) / Blood effect for mutants(turn off if you get particle error)
mgore = "on"

The log file isn't helpful, because it hasn't ended with the standard error section. The CTD happened during horror time, but prior to that, I'd also been killed just as a blowout wave was hitting. Loaded my quicksave, played a few minutes more, it didn't hit. Helicopter was attacking during horror time, too. I know this CTD is to do with particle effects because Inferno had it, so no worries, just need to know how to turn it off. Ironically, haven't had any trouble with the dead NPCs CTD, had it the other night and didn't get in the way (I was just finishing up anyway =))). Thanks for any help afforded.

EDIT: Save was fine, not corrupted. Horror Time came and went, no CTD this time. But, it is greatly appreciated if there is a way to prevent it from happening again. Also, had those Blowout Waves - isn't the sky meant to alter during them? To that weird, ominous, multicoloured one? I had it during the morning if it makes any difference.

Nightwatch this does not look like a decoder to me. :-? I know you did not change the icon files, just got rid of the mipmaps. Could this be why some have had trouble finding the decoder?

Guys, I'll be dropping NW a list of awards late Sunday/early Monday.

Can you post any stats you wish considered on the Players Corner thread? I just don't have the time right now to go through every shot in the main thread. Partly work, partly an unhealthy obsession with Bioshock right now. Glad I finally got round to playing it.

NW - NEWSA is just too unstable on my rig, I think it is a 64 bit Vista problem. It plays perfect for first few hours, then I'm lucky to get 5 minutes. I have not posted anything here as I am sure these are not errors you can fix, its all very random. Tried a full reinstall and got through Cordon before it started again. Many are CTD with no error logs, it is frustrating, as I enjoyed what I did get to see. Just an update buddy, no criticism :-ss

Congratulations big time, fiznerpin1962 :-bd You've got that damn chopper!
Particularly this one, and the additional "repercussions" (for stealing army box) events chopper in Cordon both fly high, so scoring on them is very difficult.
Pictures duly logged.

Grump642
Some things seems to have changed in your files, as it's definitely not the decoder icon. :D Mod files are correct. Just checked again.
This is, as you point out, snork-leg on file: monster_items pointing to icon_equipment: x=14 y=19
decoder, on the other hand, is in quest_items x=11 y=3
Both items pointing correct locations in the mod. I suggest the best and the easiest way is to reinstall the mod, or you can correct the changed file manually if you wish.
If you've enterd the room26 in Pripyat and took the decoder into your inventory then its there, no matter the icon files got haywire, in fact, you can still enter the lab even if you don't get the decoder.

Kaidonni
What you got over there is the engine problem Xray momentarily couldn't handle the particle process; it's so evident that the crash did not repeat on your reload. You will always have problem on and off due to sudden engine glitches, it's the way the engine works, it's prone to it. Reloads will work fine.
Please do not change anything in script files comparing the symptoms with what you'd seen in ABC. Just reload, engine this time works fine. Keep your PC temps cools, stop all unnecessary processes. Rebooting your PC before starting the game helps with RAMs.
Horror-Times and Blowouts throw different skies it's not one set only. Sometimes you'll get rather washed out bright colours, sometimes very dark and moody ones, or between. You'll find one that you like along the way. We all find one. :mozilla_smile:

EggChen Yeah, anytime you can start sending the awards, no hurry there.
You must be right to point to 64 bit as the cause there I believe, Quad-Core and 64 bit must be a double kick for stalker. That's bed, because I'm planning to go 64 bit soon, as this rig is OK with 64 as it is.
I believe you're using latest drivers of course. You say that it plays perfect for a few hours then it starts developing problems. Maybe we can explore some other matters as well, alongside that obvious Quad and possible 64 bit issues. I'm just guessing here of course, but have you monitored your Graphics Cards temperature, or, in fact, the CPU as well. Btw, while talking about temps, I'd like to remind you the RAMs, too. STALKER suffers some memory leak problem as well; maybe the problem accumulates over a certain period of time. I know, it's hell of a problem to do so, but have you tried rebooting your PC, a bit before the time that you've seen when the game starts developing problems? If it's a memory management problem, it should then help it. Guesses, guesses. :mozilla_smile: But, anyway, thanks for trying buddy, at least we've got a couple of good pictures from you, too. :thumbright:

Nightwatch, the damn thing has now disappeared! I already reinstalled once. To play this Mod, I will deal with it.
By the time I get to freeplay, I may be the only main character still alive. I just watched Lukash and his bodyguards get killed by a Blowout. INSIDE his room!! I think you have reached the limits on Blowout power! :iconbiggrin: If you want anyone to survive.

Edit; Just went in to Pripyat and it was boring! No snipers on the roof or in the windows, no "bad guys" anywhere. Till we got past the little underground garage. Took your APC out easy, he gave himself away. What is wrong with my game?
